This was my first time eating here and in the area. Sherwoods was okay in my opinion. It definitely was not my favorite. The atmosphere is real quite and laid back which is not my favorite i like some excitement going on. The food was a bit different. I was expecting burgers and fries and then I seen the menu and it is mostly all sandwiches and pizza. I had the meatball sub which was okay. I dont think I would recommend to anyone I know but hey you win some and you lose some.

We went to Sherwood’s Classic Diner for lunch and it was our first time there and it definitely won’t be our last. I had the John Wayne sandwich with a side Caesar salad, and we also ordered the chopped Italian salad. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and hit the spot.

The service was just as good as the food friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which always makes a first visit even better.

The decor really stood out too. It has that classic diner vibe, but with a fun twist thanks to all the caricature drawings throughout the restaurant. It gives the place a unique personality that makes it feel lively and memorable.

Great food, great service, and a cool atmosphere. We loved it and will happily be back!

I’ve eaten here three times, twice at this location, and every time was excellent. I got a meatball sub once and a sandwich another time. I was hesitant to pay $15 for a sandwich, but after I saw it I realized that it was large enough for 2-3 meals, depending on how hungry you are. And I’m not a small man. The other time I got a burger, which was also excellent.

Sherwood cafe….
A lovely bistro style, nestled in the heart of desoto missouri.Straight out of the fifties with complimentary Checkered floor and the artwork will leave you mesmerized… But I must warn you be careful What you order because they come extra big here…
They offer as an assortment of drinks including what I see as wine and other alcoholic beverages.pizza sanwiches and pastas
Definitely a place to check out.Although the parking is a little cramped, it’s only streetside parking.

I couldnt finish the john wayne…if there sandwiches are that good i bet the pizzas are amazing as well. Maybe the owner can chime in and suggest a favorite pizza…
.shout out to the owner keep up the awsome work

This is a great place to eat. The John Wayne sandwich was 3x larger than imagined. It came with enough full-flavored au’jus to dip the entire sandwich with each bite.

This place is a lot of fun! What a total vibe!
My niece and I gave Sherwood’s new DeSoto location a try and we loooved it! The place has pictures of virtually every pop culture movie or show one can think of and appreciate. At each table, there are tons of trivia cards to test out your skills. While waiting for our food (and even while eating!) my niece and I took turns playing trivia and it was so fun!
I rate my food an 8.5 out of 10. I tried the Ghost and Mr. Chicken Salad, and it was just slightly bland, but still very yummy, nonetheless. My favorite food there so far is the Roasted Red Pepper and Gouda soup. Our service was excellent! The three girls working there are super sweet and we enjoyed chatting with them! DeSoto, ya got a good one!

At today’s price this little gem in the heart of Desoto is phenomenal!! Our sandwiches were great and it’s more than plenty to eat. Deep dish pizza if good too. I tried a cup of chili and it was good. I suggest adding cheese to it . Our sides, egg salad and homage chips were delicious. Give it a try. I think everyone can find something good to eat at a great price.

I’ve been here a handful of times. Burgers and fries have always been my go-to, the Woody’s hot rod and the bacon-cheddar burgers are the ones I typically get. Mushroom and Swiss is good but not earth-shattering. The steak sandwich was pretty good; not overcooked. Fries have always been perfectly crispy, no salt added which is nice so you can salt to your tastes. I tried one of the chimney cakes and it wasn’t my thing. Just a giant, cream-filled cinnamon-sugar pastry. The menu mentioned other flavors that sounded better, but when I was there it was basically just what they had in a refrigerated case. I did try a chicken tenders once and they were awful, basically what you find in the frozen food aisle at any grocery store. Maybe they’re better now, but I’ll just stick to one of the burgers.

Atmosphere is a bit goofy, caricatures of celebrities are all over the place. Service is always pretty good. The dining room is separated from the adjoining gas station by a metal gate so if the gas station is busy it gets noisy.

This is a solid 3.5 stars place, rounded up since it’s a place I’d recommend.

Looks like it’s maybe just a gas station attached restaurant but it’s not at all. It is a very cool place and I highly recommend it. The Cod Platter I ordered was outstanding and definitely enough for 2 people (well unless you’re my nephews who are bottomless pits ).

Plenty of FF’s and 3 large pieces of cod. Amazingly, there was more fish than batter. It was very good, the fish was tender and the batter was crunchy. I wish I had remembered to take a pic “before” we devoured most of the order. It also came with a generous portion of very good coleslaw. I would definitely go back and get some other items.
