Our server was a delight and very attentive. Coffee was never empty and someone even walked around asking if we wanted a fresh cinnamon roll right out of the oven. The food was great and there was so much of it! Great little diner. The chicken fried steak was great and their biscuits are homemade!

When our lunch plans fell apart, we decided to give Sherri’s Diner a try for the first time—and we’re glad we did. It definitely holds its own against Jimmy’s Round Up Café just up the street.

We arrived after the lunch rush around 1:15 PM and were seated immediately. Jennifer was our server and she was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and welcoming.

I ordered the fried catfish, which came out piping hot with a crispy, well-seasoned crust. I chose mashed potatoes and coleslaw as sides. The mashed potatoes were clearly homemade and very good, but the coleslaw wasn’t for me—the flavor had a bit of an off twang. The hush puppies on the plate were a nice bonus.

My wife went with the chicken fried chicken at Jennifer’s recommendation, and it was an excellent choice. She enjoyed the mashed potatoes but wasn’t a fan of the green beans; next time we’ll pick a different side.

Even though we were full, I couldn’t pass up the homemade coconut cream pie. It was good enough that we ended up taking the rest to go. While it’s not the best coconut cream pie I’ve had, it’s definitely a solid dessert option.

Overall, a great diner experience with generous portions, friendly service, and just a couple of minor side dish misses. We’ll definitely be back.

There is a great theme and atmosphere in this dinner. Wish the roads were fixed but then I think it would be crowded. The food was great with wonderful portion sizes for they money. They had a seasonal special as well, which fits for the season. The vintage signs and decor was lovely to look at.

I like Diners. All the staff was extremely pleasant and accommodating. However they kept getting little things wrong . They immediately corrected though. Was busy but not overly busy. Coffee was good. Food was plentiful but seemed to have a lard flavor to it. Prices were average.

My husband and I went for our first time to Sherry’s. It was a OU gameday Saturday so they were very busy. Parking lot was full and there was a waiting list. We only had to wait about 10 minutes for a table though. Our server Justin was so nice and he was a very good server. He was so friendly and took great care of us. The food was delicious, hot and freshly prepared. My husband had liver and onions with mashed potatoes and gravy, and pinto beans. Very good choice! I had the Catfish special with two pieces of crispy fried catfish, yummy coleslaw, french fries, and two hushpuppies. Everything was so good. I can’t wait to go there again and try something new. We got a huge homemade cinnamon roll and a piece of homemade chocolate pie to go. Both was delicious! Sherry’s diner in Oklahoma City will now be one of our favorites.

I’ve been there twice, once for breakfast and once for brunch. Both times, the service was friendly and at an acceptable speed. The food was also very good. Best pancakes and cinnamon I’ve had in town. The diner has an retro and coca cola theme. It gets busy on Saturdays, but it didn’t impact the wait time or service as much as I thought it would. That’s a bonus!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 stars — this place is the REAL DEAL.

Good diners are hard to find these days, but Sherry’s Diner? Worth every bit of the hype. This is the kind of spot that reminds you why diners exist in the first place.

I ordered the chicken strips and they were next-level good. Huge portion, hand-breaded, perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Not frozen, not skimpy — the real thing.

My husband got the burger and immediately said it’s one of the best burgers around. Fresh hamburger meat, toasted bun, cooked just right… simple and done perfectly. He also ordered the onion rings and wow — hand-breaded, thick onion slices, and a portion big enough to make you consider canceling dinner plans later.

Our waitress was on it — friendly, attentive, and hustling even though the place was busy. We didn’t wait long for anything and never felt rushed out the door.

This is the kind of diner you hope to stumble across — big portions, legit homemade food, and service that makes you feel welcome. We WILL be back… probably way sooner than we should

Traveling from DFW, Texas we sought a mom and pop establishment as we like to support them any chance we get. We landed in Sherri’s and found a gem.

You know when the parking lot is busy that the locals know of the place, and frequent it. On a random Thursday the place was hopping. Sherri, ‘the air traffic controller’/owner, is bright eyed, friendly, and exudes hospitality; and it is genuine, not forced or faked.

It’s okay to have a diner theme, but the food needs to be first rate to go with it, and it is. Our table of four had a couple chicken fried chickens, a patty melt, and a Reuben sandwich special with various sides. Our order was processed quickly, the food was hot and everyone including myself found it delicious. Whoever is slinging that hash in the back is doing a heckuva job at it. Well done to the cook(s).

The one reason I couldn’t give five stars to the server was because her perfume was excessive. Her service was excellent though. (Heavily scented person(s) can spur headaches in some of us.) Let them know to please bring it down a notch, Sherri.

So, overall this is a place we’d gladly visit again, and will, we all decided unanimously. I’m so very glad to see such a great business, with an equally great owner, thriving and holding the franchises at bay. This is how we preserve our areas and neighborhoods with texture and flavor. Bravo Sherri.

PS – the jukebox selections are free!

I went to visit my son in Mustang , Oklahoma the first week in April and before I went down there I looked on Yelp for places that I wanted to try and Sherri’s caught my eye. I love a good 50’s Diner , but it has to have good food and I was not disappointed. If I lived in OKC or surrounding area I would definitely come here often. I also saw they have car shows here sometimes and I’m a car nut so I would come for those too.

We started out with the Onion Rings as an appetizer. They are HUGE , homemade and come with Ranch. They were so good and thick with 2 slices of onion in each ring. Definitely get these. My son got the Breaded Chicken Sandwich and it was also HUGE. I tried it and it was so good. I would come back here for one of those. It of course came with Fries or you can choose a different side like Potato Salad and such. I wanted breakfast so I got the Chicken Fried Steak , again HUGE , it took up a plate by itself. It was very good and I liked the Gravy. Some places the gravy taste of too much flour , but this had good seasoning and flavor.

I also had Scrambled Eggs , Home Fries , and a Biscuit and Gravy. You can get toast if you prefer. The amount of scrambled eggs was perfect , some places don’t give you enough. The home fries had a good taste and had green peppers of some kind on top which I liked. The biscuit was homemade and big , but the flavor was just okay. The gravy that came with it tasted different to me than the gravy for the chicken fried steak , more plain , but that may be because it was on a biscuit and not the chicken fried steak. I don’t know , but it just seemed to taste different , probably just me.

Our server was nice and checked on us several times and kept our drinks full. I hate it when I’m at a sitdown restaurant and have to try to get the servers attention to get our beverages refilled. The place was busy , but she gave great service and attention. The decor is so cool with all the 50’s stuff on the walls , the Coca-Cola machines , old Jukebox , old advertisement signs even in the bathroom which was very clean. We didn’t get any dessert since we were both full , but did get a big cinnamon roll for my daughter in law who was at work. They had some big pies on display that looked very good. They also sell t-shirts of the restaurant. I would definitely recommend you coming to eat here because you will come back.
