Was expecting more. Very busy place, lots of people waiting but we got seated immediately. While some places start you with free bread, some with chips and salsa, Sherman’s starts you off with deli style dill pickles. Our server took awhile to show up, but it doesn’t take long to get the food. My pastrami on rye was tasty but lots of fat in it and not much of the awesome peppery crust I love. In fact it lacked flavor in general. The potato salad was quite dry. Basically just mashed redskin potatoes and a tiny bit of celery. My wife had matzo ball soup which was impressive looking, but like my food lacked flavor. Her half sandwich was BLT and very tasty (and on gluten free bread). All in all it was okay. Not great, not terrible, just okay.

Now this is what a restaurant should be! Amazing food, smart, speedy service, and baked goods that will knock your socks off! Try the beef and cabbage soup: hot, steamy, and satisfying. My hunk of carrot cheesecake cake was the size of a small child. Can’t wait for my next visit!

The matzo ball soup was the best, and the sandwiches were delicious. The staff were really nice, which made my trip even more enjoyable. Thank you! I’ll definitely visit again!
This is a must stop-by place.

First off, everyone that works here was absolutely kind and welcoming from the moment we walked in. Jenny was our waitress & given that it was later in the evening on the day before Christmas Eve, she was in the best spirits, answered all of our questions and helped us decide what to try on our first visit.

It might’ve been because this was our first meal after a rainy 7 hour drive, but this was hands down some of the best food I’ve ever had. I’m talking “I want this as my last meal” good.

We started with a bowl of the chicken noodle soup with a matzo ball. Fantastic broth, savory and not greasy. The matzo ball was firm yet tender and seasoned well. We then shared the Ruben. Wonderfully tender corned beef, awesome rye, and a perfectly done sauerkraut that didn’t overwhelm the sandwich. And the “fries” were excellent too (dip them in the side of thousand island, you won’t be mad at me).

You won’t have room, but when you stop staring at the massive desert display, just bite the bullet and take something home for later.

Skewed review, as we got here shortly after opening, and we had read how crazy it can get. About 8:45 the bank of 2 tops were turned into an 8 top, and the family groups started to arrive.
Be warned, it is popular, and for good reason.
Insane bakery, varied, expert presentation. Just saying, we avoided ALL OF THIS after b’fast.
Sizeable menus for breakfast, lunch, dinner, specials, drinks, and the ever present pastry cases.
Food for 2 of plus came out fast, everyone else had plates when we walked in. Worth looking for when you enter any restaurant and are hungry now.
Attentive waitstaff, willing to make suggestion and offers (to go cuppa jo?).
Well appointed,clean and tidy.

Awesome experience at Sherman’s. I had the French Toast with a side of bacon and that was incredible, my wife had the Cinnamon Bun which was huge and came out warm! Can’t wait to come back and try the deli meats as they looked amazing also. Great service, coffee always topped up ☕️ Five Stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Sherman’s is a great deli that I love stopping at on my roadtrips. I always get the pastrami sandwich with swiss cheese served on rye bread and it never disappoints. The bread and the cheese are always fresh, the pastrami is always tender, juicy and succulent, and the baked goods never disappoint. Service and atmosphere were good. Overall, this place is a 9.4/10.

This place. Where do I begin? This was the best breakfast ever! The waffles I got were so good, and just the selection of the freshly baked goods in the glass coolers look so damn good. The service from our server Jaime, was so good, he was funny as well too with his jokes, it’s what you want from a server at a restaurant!
I’ll totally be back here again!

Excellent deli food. Loved the wonderful and perfect matzo ball soup! It was outstanding. I like that they have bottled soft drinks to enjoy with lunch. The portions are huge. Gabriela was outstanding and an excellent waitress. She went above and beyond to make our luncheon perfect. She has a cheerful and upbeat attitude and made us feel very comfortable. I would not recommend the chicken sandwich; it was overcooked and did not smell right! Their pickles, coleslaw, corned beef, French fries and sauerkraut were terrific and marvelous. Their cakes are to die for delicious. A must see place; you will leave very full and very happy.
