The burgers are VERY good. Kids meal are a great value, $5 for an entree, a side, and a drink. Fried mushrooms? Chefs kiss! Man oh man.

Stopped by this restaurant for a quick snack, ordered onion rings and tots. Both were hot, crispy, and really good!

OMG!!! This is the best philly cheese steak I’ve ever had!!! The portion is huge, the fillings started from both edges (not like in other places just the middle). I am from Brooklyn, NY and Dallas, TX and this is the WOW sandwich!!!

We researched the many Thanksgiving meal options Branson offers. One of our kiddos is a picky eater, so we decided a buffet would be best suited for our family. We made reservations a couple of days before Thanksgiving for the Shepherd’s Grill Thanksgiving Buffet. There were still a few spots available throughout the afternoon. We booked a 4:00 p.m. reservation (their last flight of reservations) since we were driving in from Nebraska. Even though we dined late in the afternoon, the food on the buffet was hot, fresh and plentiful. Everyone in our family enjoyed the meal and we did not feel rushed (they closed at 5:00). Thanksgiving buffet options included turkey, roast beef, ham, mashed potatoes and 2 kinds of gravy, stuffing, rolls, green beans, corn, salad with various dressings, and pecan and pumpkin pie. Upon our arrival we greeted and given a table. We were then directed to the buffet line, where you pay and get your beverages. From there you could grab a salad bowl and plate for your meal and serve yourself from the many options. Pumpkin and pecan pie was sliced and plated for the end of your meal. The food was very good. We were all stuffed! The only thing that would have been nice is if a staff member would have removed our salad plates from the table when we were finished to allow room for the larger buffet plates and dessert plate. It was the end of what I’m sure was a long day for the staff, so not a huge deal. After our meal we decided to buy tickets for the Trail of Lights. We browsed in the gift shop before heading over to the Trail of Lights. The whole experience made for a pleasant Thanksgiving!

The food was really poor. Overpriced for the food you get. The mashed potatoes tasted metallic and sour. My wife couldn’t eat her meal. It was really bad. My bacon wrapped meatloaf was reheated in a pan and tasted like it was rethawed and old. 5 hours later, we both got abdominal cramping, nausea and diarrhea. We ended up with gastroenteritis, from the food here.
The only thing that was good here, was the hillbilly fries.

Wow. I was blown away by this place. First of all, they do have a kids menu and the portions are HUGE!!! You can split those up, easily. The bread they give you at the beginning is very tasty. The food is so tasty. It may not look like much but the flavor is spot on. I recommend the Chicken Fried Steak. It was amazing. Hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. The Shepard’s pie is delicious. I will come back. 🙂

I couldn’t wait for the Shepherd’s Mill to open. They had sides that they delivered around the room but the cart had no way of heating the food and keeping it warm. They served cream corn casserole, green beans, macaroni and cheese and cucumber salad from the cart, everything had a good flavor but it wasn’t as warm as we would have like it to be. We paid $75 for 4 of us to eat and that included our drinks, a reasonable price. Our fries were a little over done but everyone likes their fries cooked differently. They also brought out banana bread and cornbread before our meal, both had a very good flavor but the cornbread fell apart. Serving sizes were perfect and the service was helpful, courteous and friendly. We had pulled pork, chicken fried steak, fish and chicken salad and all our meals were tasty. Remember, tonight was their opening night and I am sure they are going to be a success, just a few minor things to work on but overall, we were please and we will be back again. The atmosphere was awesome!! The fireplace was my favorite, it was warm and cozy!!

Everything was good. However it felt very unjust that a 15% tip is included in our order. The only service given was walking a tray of food out. We stood at the counter to order, got our own drinks and cleaned our own table. That to me is not the service I paid for.
