Shenandoah Pizza & Taphouse had a great atmosphere. Located in heart of downtown Staunton, Va. The pizza was delicious. Had great flavor and a nice crisp crust. The beers paired very well with the pizza.

I had not been here in a year but I used stop in several times per year. I was asked to go to the Harry Potter event and we went on Sunday because of the rain the day before. After a long day of running and then the festival we went here for dinner. Some pizza and a few beers was very much needed. The menu was not what I remembered but I believe it was adjusted for the event. Good food and yes, beers was a nice close for the day. At $30 or more per pie and drinks it added up but no regrets. Very laid back atmosphere and staff that had to be exhausted. I will be back and hopefully the full menu will be as well.

We had a truly AMAZING experience at Shenandoah Pizza. We had a late breaking group of 14 for my daughter’s 9th birthday (our plan didn’t include dinner but then all of a sudden we found ourselves a huge crew and HUNGRY). The thoughtful generosity and open-hearted availability of the entire staff to make an incredible dinner work for our group was absolutely unparalleled. Multiple kids, multiple sets of dietary needs, a giant table, incredible vibes of welcome and delight, drinks of all stripes for all desires, and absolutely killer pizzas? YES PLEASE! Delicious and welcoming, a true community spot worthy of any and all meals-from weeknight dinners to big celebrations. Bravo.

This pizza joint is fantastic! I loved how the menu was organized by different base sauces. Everything we ordered was perfect (see the pictures). The pizza dough was definitely the highlight of the meal. The service was friendly, though a bit less attentive than I would have liked. I definitely plan to return and try more pizza flavors, yumm!

We stumbled upon Shenandoah Pizza by chance, and we’re so glad we did!
We ordered a large pizza, half cheese, half pepperoni, and it was fantastic—the sauce had great flavor, and all five of us loved it. We also tried the fried pickles, which were perfectly crispy, and the spicy ranch dip took them to the next level. The cheese fries were amazing, with just the right amount of cheese and served with their delicious house-made ranch—definitely a must-try!
Our waitress was incredibly friendly and welcoming, even bringing out paper and crayons for the kids, which was such a nice touch. The tables were a little small, but we managed to make it work without any issues.
The atmosphere was great, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed and enjoyable meal. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we’d definitely come back again!

Best pizza in tricounty area. Great food, great selection of beers (taps as well as bottles), wonderful staff. Recommend over any other pizza. Once you have been here, you will not eat pizza anywhere else. Atmosphere is great, very clean and staff is wonderful. Taphouse wings are the best.

We had a great meal at Shenandoah pizza and tap house. For the price, it is probably the best pizza downtown. To be fair, there is more pizza to try, I’m sure, but I will be hitting up this menu again soon! The pizza we ordered was thick with cheese and toppings. The sauce was good, as well as the crust. We had a medium Wright’s pizza with an order of cheese fries to start. The fries are waffle style and well cheesed and seasoned. A little over cooked for my personal taste, but the flavor made up for that bit. The inside was nice with plenty of seating, even a second level of seating. The gals and guy who took care of our order were fast and friendly even bringing our dog a bowl of water. That’s right, outside dog friendly seating on the weekends! If your in staunton looking for good pizza and a cold beer, check out Shenandoah pizza!

They have amazing pizza. Wonderful staff, super friendly. Atmosphere is calm and cozy. Family friendly. It’s a great place to get together with friends. Our family stopped in Staunton for the night on our way home from a road trip. Based on positive customer reviews, we decided to try this local pizzeria for dinner.
We weren’t familiar with the area, and the one-way streets made parking a challenge. Eventually, we found a spot right outside the restaurant. After the parking struggle, we were pleasantly greeted by beautiful artwork displayed in the windows. Inside, the art continued throughout the dining room—several pieces were hanging for sale with prices listed beneath them. One wall featured what appeared to be a rendering of the building dated September 1911, which added a nice historical touch to the atmosphere.
Unfortunately, our server seemed constantly rushed throughout our visit and wasn’t particularly engaging. He didn’t offer much conversation about the menu or the artwork on display.
We ordered two pizzas but only received one. Near the end of that pizza, we asked about the second one. He apologized and said he hadn’t heard us order it. (This is probably why some restaurants have servers repeat orders back for confirmation.)
Shortly after, he returned and offered to remove the cost of the pizza we had received from our bill. We appreciated the gesture but declined. I suppose we’ll just have to return on our next trip to try the pizza we missed! That said, the one we did receive was delicious! The crust was soft and floppy, which made it a bit tricky to handle, but it was so good that one family member was scraping every last bit from their plate.

I ordered a personal pizza, but it was very small and mostly bread. The service wasn’t great either—I had to ask for the check three times. It was also very crowded and quite noisy.
