A great surprise recommended by friends. Its not fancy but its certainly ample, clean & neat. Took a lil road trip & ate plenty of home cooked food. Most of my crew had the buffet, but I always order off the menu. Catfish was probably the best I’ve had in years. Not too heavy on the seasonings so it perfectly accented the fish. Was definitely fried in the perfect temp oil cause that crispy crust could not have been more perfect! There’s not one item that didn’t hit the spot for any of us.

Food was good. Nice little place right off the road. Everyone was nice except our waitress. Taylor was her name I believe. The only downside was I had to keep getting up and asking others for refills. Seemed that the locals got better service. It was not because it was busy!!!! There were only 4 other tables with people at them.

The waitress’s Kadance, Madison, Taya are beyond amazing and Sam the cook always cooks the food just right. If you love spaghetti ask for Dawson to make it his is by far the best I’ve ever had. My family and I always come here sometimes multiple times a week. We highly recommend Shelton’s if you are looking for a place to eat.

Stopped by for lunch while traveling. It’s a busy place but we were seated without waiting. Looks like they have a small buffet with your standard comfort food of fried chicken, mashed potatoes, rolls etc. we opted to order off the menu with chicken tenders with sides of Cole slaw and mashed potatoes. Good tasting, not bland at all. She ordered a slice of ham with mashed potatoes and a salad. All the food was fresh and good tasting. Bathrooms are a bit small if that concerns you. Waitress was outstanding and handled the crowd well. It is a diner so they do close at 3 pm.

Had the steak and eggs with a country ham and biscuit. It was a good steak and the eggs were perfect. The biscuits were very good. The country ham was salty just like I like it. The wait staff was courteous and quick. The price was right. This is a great mom and pom kind of place. If you are in the area stop in and check them out.

I LOVE the food here. The young people who work there are very friendly.
My only gripe is, the kitchen is completely open to the dining area. Because of the kitchen noise and loud music, everyone in the restaurant must yell at each other to be heard. If you want a quiet place, this ain’t it, unless you go late.
