This is a super cute little Cafe with the most delicious food. I’ve never had a sculpture made out of my bagel before and it tasted as good as it looked. Come early if you don’t want them to run out of the specials, I came within an hour of closing so I missed some delicious homemade items.

Incredible coffee!! They serve Cafe Motto which is always delicious. They also have the tastiest chocolate muffin I have ever had. The lavender infused latte and iced mocha are also Incredible! I was slightly disappointed by the sweet potato soup, it was more of an average vegetable soup. The veggie sandwich and hashbrowns were both very fresh and tasty! Great service as well!! Very reasonable prices!

I’ve been to this place 10+ times when I’m in town for business and visiting my family in La Mesa. For drinks, I’ve only tried their black coffee which is pretty decent. I’ve had a few of their breakfast items like muffins, eggs, bacon & egg benedict.

Love this corner-bistro style coffee shop. The service was amazing, thank you Katie (spelled the right way), and the honey lavender oat milk latte was great. Wish I had come hungry, but I will definitely be back to try at least the lemon poppy seed muffin. Oh and they have the most charming covered patio.

I recently went to Sheldon’s Service Station with my wife and had an amazing time. I ordered the Chorizo Bowl, which included hash browns, chorizo scrambled eggs, cotija cheese, pico de gallo, green onions, sour cream, and house-made chipotle salsa. My wife ordered the Breakfast Burrito, which she had previously enjoyed. The eggs, bacon, hash browns, green onion, diced tomato, and cheddar cheese were wrapped in a spinach tortilla and served with a side of house-made chipotle salsa and seasonal fruit.

Need a new breakfast or lunch hangout? Sheldon’s service station has a great under awning patio dining room and a great view. They have an excellent selection of espresso beverages both hot and cold, along with an assortment of breakfast and lunch creations. I really enjoyed my smoked salmon on toasted bagel with cream cheese. My dining buddies enjoyed their 3 egg omelet and eggs Benedict with bacon on an English muffin. The prices are fair for the amount of food offered.

Sheldon’s is such a classic La Mesa institution and terrific place for breakfast, lunch or whatever. I stopped out early Sunday morning to catch them before the line grows and it was already humming at 7AM with dogs and peeps. The menu is great and specials are such a treat and so inventive. I ordered the chorizo bowl – next time I’ll remember to add guacamole – got my son the short rib eggs benedict (super yum!) and hubby got french toast off the kids menu. Everything was delicious! There was so much food in the chorizo bowl it took me through 2 meals even with generous sharing. Can hardly wait for our next outing to Sheldon’s!
