I stopped by a few days ago and had an awesome experience. My mouths was salivating just from the fragrant aroma of expertly seasoned and prepared foods, that surrounded me as I was warmly greeted upon entering.
Even though they were busy, the seating was great and room for everyone. Lots of families and people out enjoying a delicious meal prepared by one knowing exactly what they are doing and how to take care of your taste buds and stomach.
I asked about their desert offerings and believe you me, my grandma never made me anything as delectable as they were. While I truly wanted all 8 deserts, I knew I was only going to be able to eat, at most, two. I went with the Gooey butter cake(her grandmothers recipe) and Dutch apple pie. Both of them were flakey, flavorful, and fresh! My gosh were they fresh. The goo cake had this indescribably and flavorful crust on top that knocked my socks off! My mouth is watering right now as I think back to every bite that I took!
Everyone sitting around us were all speaking about how delicious their food was and how they are glad Shelby opened up his restaurant. I am also glad that Shelby-Q is now more than a vision, but is a place that I can sit down and have delicious meals with my family for many years to come. Where ever you’re coming from, the food and service is top notch and well worth the visit.

My waitress Marylee was Awesome! All the employees from the owner Mr Shelby, and everyone else were so sweet. The food was hot and delicious. The coffee ☕ really hit the spot. I will definitely go back. I really enjoyed my visit.

I have been here for Breakfast and Lunch. Had the waffles, omelette, and chicken wings and BBQ nachos for lunch. Everything was homemade and seasoned so well. I absolutely loved the waffle. Light and had a great taste. The owner is a chef himself and has come up with all menu items. You can tell he has a passion for food. He was telling us about his vision and new items he would like to bring to the restaurant. Everything sounded great! We were invited to a special dinner that he had in order to see if dinner would be possible on Weekends. He is thinking about doing this permanently. I had the Cajun chicken pasta! It was absolutely amazing! Couldn’t stop eating it. The flavors were on the same level as a gourmet pasta restaurant. We didn’t order BBQ but it sure smelled good on the smoker!! Will definitely drive from Paducah again to eat here!!

We had 1/2 rack ribs Mac and cheese and French fries. The ribs were charred a bit much but they were still moist and great flavor.

Definitely worth the money. I got the pulled pork sandwich, mack and cheese and onion rings. The pulled pork sandwich was amazing, and so was the onion rings. The texture of the mack and cheese wasn’t my thing but overall food was great. I’ll definitely stop in the next time I’m up this way.

So far I’ve only had the limited menu, but everything I’ve had is excellent. Burgers are great (you can tell more effort goes into them than just throw a pre-made frozen patty on a room temperature bun), the bbq sandwich we very good (unique sauce), and the fries are an unusual cut but also very good. Prices are reasonable, staff has been very friendly. Looking forward to trying more off the menu.

The lady at the front was so sweet to me, and patient for me to look at their menu. It looked very cozy on the inside which was so comfortable to be in. And let me just say! This food is amazing! The Mac and cheese has to be the best Mac and cheese I have ever had! The blt was so good with crispy bacon which I love! Will definitely be going back soon, I saw some bbq nachos I wanna try. Hope you guys have jalapeños! I believe it was seven dollars and some change for a blt and one side.

The food was good. I had the fried fish special. It was great food. The only thing not so great were the hushpuppies. They were bland. I would recommend this place.
