The pork belly, I’m personally not highly recommended, sous vide style make it worse taste, and the portion mostly are tallow fat part, even come with onion soubise make the whole dish so greasy.
Dessert be served with glasses which is a bit interesting.
Oyster is spectacular fresh.
After asking about the fish, I asked the waitress on what should I get for the mains, and decided on the risotto. for the entree i went with the chowder. The chowder was well balanced with none of the seafood crowding out any one component, this was the same with the risotto, there was quite alot of lemon components, but it was so well done that the lemon was not too sour, just a light refreshing note! I genuinely was giggling like a kid after each bite of the risotto, savouring the flavours that was put on that plate.
Dessert I went with the cheesecake, and once again, not too heavy, the perfect blend of tangy with the sorbet, and light, fluffy cheesecake with all the indulgence.
During the course of the meal, when chatting with the waitress, I did mention it was my birthday (mentioning I wasn’t about the fanfare, just a good meal was all I was searching for.) They graciously brought out a small dessert plate with chocolate writing of “happy birthday” on it, no candles, no loud singing, just a lovely “happy birthday” and a dessert, genuinely I could not stop smiling for the rest of the night.
p.s. IDK exactly what was on this plate, it was really good though, if i were to hazard a guess a matcha marzipan dessert with cranberries and pistachios, with a apricot crumble on the side
good food, good staff, every little thing brought a wonderful smile to my face.
I selected the Blue Nose dish. It was beautifully complimented with the spanner crab, prawn and coriander smash.
Ginger ale is PURE ginger. Definitely understand why they suggest adding the sugar. If you don’t like too sweet, highly recommend to not exclude the sugar to balance the bitterness.
Waiters are very attentive and kind.
Atmosphere is light. We went just as the restaurant opened so it wasn’t too noisy or busy at the time.
Pricing for each drink & dish was expected for a fine dining restaurant.
What truly impressed us was the service. It is rare to find a place that balances efficiency with such a calm, attentive vibe. Despite the lunch crowd, the service was perfectly timed—neither too fast nor too slow. We never felt rushed, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
The seafood dishes were beautiful, and good portions and they also offer a great kids’ menu as well. We all felt incredibly well-taken care of. Highly recommended!
