Stopped by this pub after dinner to listen to some Irish music and to pound down a few pints. Parking was full when we arrived. We found a couple of seats at the bar. The place was packed for dinner service and the music. They had a decent selection of beer for such a small pub. The bartender was welcoming and engaging. The pints were cold and satisfying! The place had more seating available around 8 PM. We had an enjoyable time. We definitely will be back and will try some of their food.

I just discovered this place after going to one of the adjacent restaurants. The menu looked enticing and we decided to give it a try. I ordered fish and chips and my wife had the pub burger and added mushrooms. We also tried themushroom and leek croquettes

The high point was the fish was good. Unfortunately, they packed it in the foam container even though we only lives about 10 minutes away, it was soggy by the time I got home. Most places would cut some vents in the container to avoid that issue. They put it on top of the fries so they were soggy too. They appeared to be freshly cut and would have been good if they were crisp.

My wife’s Berger was supposed to be well done. As you can tell from the picture it’s rather than the Chinese flag. The mushrooms also tasted old and they were probably bumping up to the end of their usable shelflife. Probably best to sauté them so they would pass muster on the burger.

The mushroom and leek croquettes tasting. I was surprised you were only three for that price. After I got done eating them, though I was glad they were only three.
It was a busy Sunday night since there are four restaurants in the strip mall. There was no parking in the lot. I was surprised that there was only one table outside that was occupied and one inside there was occupied. There was a live entertainment.

Like most restaurants it has a great potential and the menu is good. Obviously, something is not drawing the clients into the restaurant. I think I know what it is.

My wife and I recently visited Shebeen Irish Bar and Kitchen on Siesta Key, and I have to say, we were thoroughly impressed. Although they are still new and working on finalizing their hours and menu, the experience we had there was great.

First of all, the atmosphere of the bar is incredibly cozy and welcoming. It’s the perfect spot to grab a drink and a bite to eat with friends or family. The staff is also very friendly and attentive, making sure that you have everything you need.

As for the beer, the Guinness was fresh and poured to perfection. They also have Smithwick’s as well as some others on tap or bottle. It was just what I was looking for in an Irish bar. The food did not disappoint either. I had the bangers and mash, and my wife had the shepherd’s pie, both dishes were delicious. The bangers were juicy and full of flavor, and the mashed potatoes were creamy and buttery. The shepherd’s pie was also spot on, with a hearty and flavorful meat filling and a crispy crust on top.

Although the menu is still being finalized, I’m excited to see what other dishes they will have to offer. If the bangers and mash and shepherd’s pie are any indication, the food at Shebeen is going to be top-notch.

Overall, we highly recommend checking out Shebeen Irish Bar and Kitchen on Siesta Key. The combination of great drinks, delicious food, and cozy atmosphere makes for a truly enjoyable experience!

The food was good but was a bit disappointed by the tiny/limited menu due to summer/slow season. I understand the reasoning, but updating the website for transparency would be a best practice. Loved the vibes and the live music. Doesn’t have a bathroom inside so plan accordingly.

Food was great, service was excellent, ambiance was perfect. I had the fish and chips the wife had the Mac-n-cheese special (outstanding). The fish was lightly breaded and the meet flaked off perfectly cooked. The chips were good and crisp on the outside but soft and yummy on the inside.
The Guinness was expertly pulled and I watched the bar keep explain how to “drink” a Guinness the right way to a bar patron. He put his hand over the glass and waved his finger as the “second pour” was finishing. Then directed the patron at the bar that they must drink at least 1/3 if not more on their first drink (it was a 22oz glass so he pointed to where in the glass she needed to empty it.)
All of this was happening while Irish music was piped through the bar the the Rugby Cup played on the big screen. Nice job Shebeen!
Welcome to Siesta Key!
I hope the get their liquor license soon. No whiskey. They only have been and wine right now.

Shared the beer cheese with the table- so delicious. The fish and chips entree was probably the best fish and chips that I’ve ever had. The fish was white flaky and perfectly cooked with a light crispy batter. The tarter sauce was a perfect compliment. I highly recommend it!

The musical duo was phenomenal. The atmosphere is great although small. We would come just for the music and the drinks. Food is good overall for a fair price. Most were not as hot as they could have been, and the corned beef was not up to par. They only have canned cocktails just FYI. Non of that would stop us from returning and an easy walk which is good if you have too many pints. On Sat we had to get there by 430 or 5 or you may not get a seat.

I would’ve sworn I was in Ireland!!!! The food was outstanding, by the time my plate touched the table the smells made me melt inside. The band that played made the atmosphere feel as Irish as you could get! Shebeen is going to be a regular:)
