Well, sorry folks, a lot of people like this food, but my experience wasn’t great.
I had the Country Fried Steak on a Thursday night. Steak was a little small, probably 4-6oz, but tasted strongly like it was cooked in stale oil. Mashed potatoes would have been fine if they were served hot. The highlight of the plate was the white pepper gravy. Corn was a big serving, but was somehow brown, in not even sure how long you would have to cook canned corn to make it brown. Roll was good, but could use some butter.
Gave 2 stars only because my wife’s baked potato was delicious and served in a hot bowl.

This is a very quaint place to eat while staying in Cass, passing through or just after a lovely train ride. I dined with 3 others in my party and everyone was pleased with thier meals. Party number 1 and I ordered the Loaded BLT and found it tasty. The Loaded part was added cheese and a fried egg, such a nice combination. This came with potato chips and a drink for 9.95. I found it reasonable for a tourist town but would have been better with fries and a pickle on the side. Party 3 ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce (16.95) with 2 sides and garlic toast, she raved about it all. Party 4 ordered the 2 pork chops (18.95) with 2 sides. Both 3 and 4 rated their meals an 8.25 out if 10. The price may seem high but the servings were generous. I gave mine an 8 because the mayonnaise ratio was perfect and the added egg was a treat. Dessert was ordered which consisted of chocolate cream pie and Cinnamon roll (3.50 each). Both were tasty. Cake was advertised on the menu but our server said there was none. Food came fast but it was late day and not busy. Please don’t expect gourmet food, but pleasant service and lovely comfort food. Family friendly and make sure to visit the company store next door.

Food was great. Cashier was totally put out. We were tourists.. Locals seemed less than thrilled we were there. Simply for the attitude had there been another option we would have left. There wasn’t and the food was very good. Waitress was very good.

Lots of seating available. Food comes out quickly and it comes out hot. Salads are amazing!! Chicken bacon ranch wrap and bacon cheeseburgers are always a favorite. Their breakfast biscuits are sooooo good!!! If you can’t tell I love the food here lol

What a fabulous restaurant. The service was professional and prompt. I don’t remember the last time that I had a full conversation with my husband without any interruptions from anything or anyone. The food was scrumptious. I absolutely will be coming here every time we are in town.

I felt as if I was an old prospector, wandering around in grandmas trinket shop. Food was goush – “good mush”. If you have no teeth or lack there of, this is the place for you. Server was nice.
