But considering the price of buffet at 15, the variety was limited. All 3 curries – daal, paneer and bhindi were best in taste.
The rotis are like home made chapatis. In starters we had dhokla and fryums.
You can order ala-carte items too to try out.
I had to go through all sweets packages individually to make sure no food mold growth and sure enough there were 4 packages i saw that had food mold growth in them. I swapped them with latest expiration dates.
I didn’t bring any of that to their attention because that’s not my job. Someone should be in charge of food quality control.
The quality and taste has gone down significantly. The snacks are extremely sweet instead of being salty. Honestly threw everything away as we don’t give someone what we don’t like.
Unfortunately my extended family and I will no longer be purchasing from them again.
Year after year it’s going down hill with quality and taste.
1. Vegetarian pizza – it’s kind of Indian taste pizza and really good in taste
2. Vadapav – this was okayish in taste.
3. Hakka noodle – won’t recommend it ever. Very bad in taste.
4. Manchurian – again something to not have while here.
5. Cold coffee – it was okay in taste. You can have it once.
6. Pista lassi. This is something very amazing in taste. I really loved it.
They have a wide range of snacks to get from.
Shayona Cafe. We tried their overpriced lunch buffet, for $15, you see the food we got. None of it tasted good. The curries were sweet, raita was sweet, dhokla tasted watery. Plus, its like eating inside a grocery store. No ambience.
Also noticed, their readymade snacks are sold at much higer prices and papdi we bought was overly salty. Very dissappointed!!
Price per person: …
The service was exceptional—prompt, friendly, and attentive. If there’s ever an issue with your meal, I highly recommend speaking directly to the manager. They’re always eager to help and will address any concerns right away, which is far more effective than leaving a negative review without giving them a chance to resolve the situation.
Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend Shayona Cafe for anyone looking for tasty, clean, and affordable vegetarian food.
