The quality of food was good and fresh. Very small portions of seafood for the price that you pay (only 5 scallops in a combo platter). All of the food was cooked well except for the scallops, which were overcooked and rubbery. The menu states that meals come with rolls but you have to ask (sometimes twice) for them. Blueberry pie was generic but good. They do not give whipped cream with it. We sat inside, which was lovely with a view. The only complaint I have there is the salt grinder on the table was clogged and salt would not come out. Customer service was just okay. Would I go back? Probably not.

Shaw’s is tucked away in New Harbor, a great spot to eat after visiting the Pemaquid Lighthouse and not too far from Damariscotta & Newcastle. Fresh lobster, lobster rolls, steamers, beer, and a lot of other seafood options. All very good, on the water where you can watch boats arrive and offload their catch (lobster). You can buy live lobster to take home to cook.

Nice place, wonderful sights and seagulls trying to steel your food I ordered bacon cheeseburger and mozzarella sticks and they where very good. The order took almost 25 minutes to be served anyway

I come here annually for the lobster roll. IMHO it is simply the best. (I have sampled many from Georgetown, Boothbay & Wiscasset & Portland. Shaw’s wins, hands down. (2022 & 2023 photo)

Food was good, not great, and very small portions for the price (I paid an extra $6 on a $30 fried seafood plate to upgrade 1/2 of the items to scallops, and received 6 scallops.

If you’re interested in fresh seafood, Shaw’s will not disappoint. I had a crab roll. It was a toasted roll, loaded with crab meat. There’s plenty of seating inside and outside.

My favorite place to eat lobsters in Maine. No frills, good, fresh food!

The scallop baskets in my opinion are way better than five Islands due to the crispy coating and the price is what you would expect to pay for seafood by the coast and you can eat outside and watch the lobster boats bring the catch right in if you’re looking for a hidden Jewel that isn’t all over the New York and Boston newspapers this is definitely the place not that it shouldn’t be if you’re planning on going on a Maine Lobster tour you should definitely stop here whether you want a big lobster or a small lobster two or three they will accommodate you I purchased a combo with scallops and whole belly clams I’ve been to a few places in the Northeast and I was extremely pleased the combo was excellent and a good size.

I’ve been going here for years. The view is amazing and so are the lobster rolls. It’s a great place to take your kids. Watch the lobster boats come in and unload fresh lobster from the deck. Hit up Pemequid Point Lighthouse afterwards to walk off the meal and watch the sunset.
