Great food and service was great besides having to get up to get recieve my own refill at counter. Collard green egg rolls were the bomb!

The staff was very nice, but lacked hot water in the bathroom. This should have been a sign that this restaurant was suffering. The food was terrible, except for shrimp plate. I ordered bbq stew and fried chicken breast with cabbage. Bbq was not good, tasted worse than frozen mess from grocery store. Stew was just mixed vegetables in tomato sauces, not actual Brunswick stew. Cabbage was a complete joke. It was overcooked and unseasoned. Looked like cabbage mush. Cabbage is the easiest thing to cook, no idea how they messed this up. (FYI: add ham hock) The fried chicken was dry and not cold. And my son found long hair in his chicken tender. We definitely won’t be back!!!

The customer service and the front end staff was very welcoming. The food was delicious, didn’t have to wait long for our food. You could either sit in the dining room area or outside in the famous what they call hog pen. The music that was playing in the restaurant over the speakers was just some good old oldie goldies. Definitely plan on making this a regular stop. The owner is very down to earth and willing to help anybody I saw several people come in and it was just like a big old family…

Breakfast isn’t great I’ve given this place many chances, biscuits are dry as the Sahara desert. Bbq is very inconsistent, ive found it to be dry or overly saturated and very salty like its 3 days old. Hardly any meat on the sandwhiches. the only thing ive found this place does well is fried chicken, they do fairly well with that. Too much going on, keep it simple concentrate on the staples and perfect them prior to making egg rolls, flat breads and other stuff.

Service was great in this little dive that has been family owned for 50 years. My chicken livers and fried okra were really good. My husband’s pulled pork was good but not the kind he was used to. Although the coleslaw was different, it worked really well with the sandwich. They have some of the best sweet tea I’ve ever had.

Great Carolina style barbecue. Friendly staff, extremely reasonable prices.

Easy access off of 64. Stopped here, ordered and ate a leisurely lunch. Added about an hour to our trip.

They have two sauces on the table, one is their original vinegar sauce and the other is sweeter, smokier and about as spicy.

Pork was tender, and slightly smoky. Baked beans were obviously homemade and very good. Mustard based potato salad and slaw were also very good. Fries were fresh. Overall very good, would definitely come again.

How do you serve Fried Fish without tarter sauce? How do you serve potatoe salad that you have to cut the potatoes up before you can eat it? How do you serve can green beans straight out of the can without putting and seasoned in them?

Enjoyed the barbecue. The hush puppies were good. Slaw was interesting. I’ll try the cheese biscuit next time. Fries had no salt on them. I like the salt added immediately after pulling out of fryer. I’ll skip the chocolate cake next visit and try a different dessert. The staff was friendly

Delicious taste of Carolina bbq. Beautifully decorated shop and outdoor eating area. We tried everything. Fried chicken, pork bbq, French fries, corn sticks, hush puppies, coke slaw, Mac and cheese, baked beans and fried okra. The sauces were delicious. They also sell produce like peaches, melons and onions.
