We loved the greeters and all employees we interacted with, everyone seemed to enjoy being there. Bathrooms smelled like sewer and the food was pretty expensive for what it was. Good enough to take the kids and get them comfortable skiing especially for the family-friendly pricing.

Shawnee is great for skiing but that’s it. The food and service was terrible, we sat down on the Groomers Grill and the first waitress messed up with the drink orders and sent a second waitress to bring it to us. The second waitress went to check but the first waitress pushed on us saying we ordered it. The food took long time to arrive and when it arrived, I got their Nachos for $13 dollars and I actually got cheese with nachos. Very poor quality food and high prices. Next time I’ll make sure to bring my own food.

I needed an extra cup and asked a cashier if I can get one. She said yes. As I came and set down at my table with the cup, a woman who works there came over to me and said” just so you know, next time no free cups. “. She said it very loudly in front of everybody and I was suoer embarrassed. She followed behind me all the way from the cafe to tell me that! We came to ski for 2 days and the amount of money we spent allowed for ONE cup. From now on I will make sure to bring my own food for all the kids and buy nothing from the cafe. Unacceptable.

Watch out! They are putting foods after the “best by” date on the shelves. We became aware of it, because the quality was bad. We reported this to the staff, but they were very defensive and said it was not expiration date. They did not provide resolution.
Very unacceptable attitude and customer service.

We had lunch here on Christmas day before skiing and the staff was all so nice and welcoming, everyone was very kind and overall there was great service. Would 100% go again any day.

The staff is polite, for the most part, but we did encounter some surly chair lift attendants. There’s a nice variety of runs, but some stretches were perilously icy. Take the Tomahawk Express. It’s the fastest chairlift. The bunny hill was impossibly crowded, but it was Saturday on a holiday weekend, so it may have been busier than normal.

Warm place to grab something to eat while skiing at Shawnee. Food is not cheap ($9 burgers and $6 hot dogs), but fresh and tasty, especially when you are hungry after skiing. The usual ski lodge decor, with rows of beer-garden style tables to crash on while stumbling around in ski boots. Can be crowded, but if main floor is full, there are usually free tables on the second floor.

I had won lift tickets to Shawnee mountain and I wanted to go snow tubing instead. Called ahead and they said we could use the tickets. When we got there after 45 minute drive they said no and they would not allow me to go snow tubing with the lift tickets which costs less than the ski lift tickets. There were hundreds of people there, what would it really matter?

Surprisingly good after a snowstorm for skiing. Lodge is warm and comfortable, but best to bring your own food particularly late in the season.

Great family skiing. Went with the Boy Scouts. The classes and instructors were really nice. The food … not so good.
