The food was fresh and very tasty. The service was friendly, and the family-owned atmosphere made it even more enjoyable. The beautiful decor and Fairuz music playing in the background added a warm, authentic touch. We’ll definitely be back.
The owner is incredibly nice and hospitable. I have been making sure to order from there every time I visit Syracuse, it’s actually became part of the reason I visit! She insists on giving free food like fatayar (savory pastries/pies), baklavah, and even my entire order at one point! I have never met a restaurant owner who is this generous and this kind to her customers!
Pictured: falafal sandwich, chicken shish tawook over rice (it comes with fries on top), and savory meat pastries/pies.
Also, I forgot to say “to go” and the owners kindly and graciously packaged my order. Thank you!!
Had a late lunch today. Ordered a gyro bowl with lamb. Very large bowl filled with a layer of yellow rice on the bottom, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, green peppers, (veggies were fresh, crisp, and crunchy) and a heaping serving of lamb, then 4 pcs of Naan and yogurt sauce (spiced beautifully). Also a handful of fries with a sprinkling of spice. A few colorful pickled carrots were tucked in too. More than enough for me and took home leftovers. Lots of seating, bright, and welcoming, and very clean. Quite a few takeout orders while there.
Highly recommend!!
Their food is one of the best I have had in years. You don’t get this local authenticity at franchise places. Their rice was good quality perfectly cooked and seasoned. The rotisserie chicken was juicy and tender. I was surprised even the breast was nice and moist. Chicken and beef Kabab’s are well marinated and cooked on coal, and their falafal was very good too. Overall great experience when we visited there. My family’s go to place when we visit Syracuse.
I drove 6 hours to Syracuse for a family event and needed to get something to eat. I had my adult kids with me and I wanted to get them something they hadn’t had before. I’ve been missing good shawarma since I left Saudi, and when I saw this place in Google maps I was excited.
I knew I was in a good place when I walked in. Arabic menu, Arabic music. Arabic YouTube channel on the TV. (Note: I can’t read Arabic, and can only understand a little, so what I described above might have been Farsi and I just don’t know better. My apologies) We ordered the family shawarma plate, got seated, and in less than ten minutes the food arrived.
It was awesome. Perfectly cooked meat, the pickles were amazing, and the Arabic bread was toasted just the way I hoped it would be. The flavors were amazing and I liked the balsamic-like vinegar flavor accents.
Overall this was a fantastic experience, and a great introduction to shawarma for my kids.
