Was driving on Devon heading home after seeing my Mom her boyfriend Alan, Kym my sister and her hubby Tom at the cool Egypt Virtual Raality at the Erc! I was starving and I looked over to the right and I saw what it looked like an old school Chicago diner. I got to the light turned green. I had to pull a U-turn. Turned around, parked, walked in. NIKKI warmly greeted me asked me to pick out a table, handed me a menu, and within five minutes I had the most amazing green lentil soup, House salad that comes with the chicken Shawarma and homemade small order of hummus. I don’t use the word perfect with food often. The portion sizes however, were perfect. The flavors outstanding in the presentation quite frankly was beautiful five minutes later the chicken Shawarma, and yellow rice. I took one bite, closed my eyes, did my best Keith Portnoy in my mind rating this main course with the “One bite everybody knows the rules..” I opened up my eyes. It was the best I had ever had then 9.6! YULI stopped by the table to see how I was doing. She was as sweet as can be. And young woman commutes 45 minutes from a far away suburb just to work here on the weekends because the food is that good. Come say hello to Yuli and Nikki and have some of the best Middle Eastern cuisine In our great city!

Need a new lunch spot? Then you need to check out Shawarma Inn 2. Shawarma Inn 2 would be great for any time of day, but you should definitely take advantage of their lunch specials! They pack a generous amount of food for less than $15, and it comes with a drink. Outside of that, their normal prices won’t break the bank either. You definitely get your money’s worth when you eat here. And not to mention the food is delicious! Even when I had it as leftovers, no flavor was lost. My favorite dish by far was the lentil soup — best I’ve ever had!
The restaurant is pretty spacious, so it’s great for larger parties or wheelchair mobility. There’s plenty of neighborhood street parking, or there’s a shopping center across the street you can park at. Fair warning, the restaurant does not have AC, but it’s not stuffy or too hot either. The staff is beyond friendly with catering to large parties and young children. Despite being a party of over 8 people, we were able to pay individually no problem, which was super convenient for us. I’d highly recommend Shawarma Inn 2 for anyone, even remotely, considering stopping by!

I love this place. Workers are very friendly and food is amazing. I love the lentil soup and had their beef shawarma sandwich tonight and wil definetely order again very soon! We clean several places in Park Ridge and always looking for local business to support

We usually order takeout so that’s what my review concerns. Never had a bad meal from here. Portions are generous and delicious. The baba ghanoush is absolutely delectable, as are the falafel and shawarma. I’ve had multiple people ask where my leftovers were from upon bringing them to work.
My husband is obsessed with the pickled veg (torshi) to the point he has recreated his own pickled veggies at home to just have on hand. He said it was the middle eastern version of giardinara, which is a supreme compliment. Thank you Shawarma Inn for cooking when I have no motivation and I can still feel like everyone got fiber, veggies and all that jazz!

I ordered a shawarma, but what I received was more like grilled chicken that was very oily. It didn’t taste like a shawarma at all, and the garlic flavor was barely noticeable. Overall, it was disappointing and not what I expected.

First time here. Food is amazing and fresh. I forgot to take photos of our main dishes. I always order chicken schwarma. The lentil soup taste was great. The falafel was fresh. The salad was yummy and not soggy. Hummus you can’t go wrong with that either. I give a ten out of 10. I hope this helps.

Ordered takeout here and the food was warm when I got home. I order the steak kabob dinner which included a soup, salad, meat, and rice. I order the steak medium and it was over cooked but still tasted pretty good. I also a hummus which honestly didn’t taste like anything but it did come with pitas so that was a pleasant surprise, since it wasn’t listed online. Overall the food was ok but the portions were good.

Just be careful and make sure to call ahead before placing an order online, there may be an issue preventing them from seeing it. We had an order placed that is now about an hour late, with out of town relatives left sitting in a car that entire time. It’s below freezing today.
The verdict seems to be the order wasn’t actually started until they came in to pick it up. If they were transparent about that from the start we would have just dropped the relatives off. It’s okay to be behind or make mistakes!! It’s how you handle and react to them that matters.
