I can’t believe we live in town and hadn’t visited Shawarma Bay sooner! No frills spot with kind staff and delicious food! My husband and I both ordered a shawarma and beef doner mixed platter, and we were really impressed with how flavorful it was. They put one of each sauce on top, so every bite had a garlicky tanginess with a light kick that we really enjoyed. The fries were seasoned nicely too! The hummus and warm pita were a great side. Everything was reasonably priced at great portions. Since it’s Ramadan, it was probably a bit busier than normal, and the staff made sure to make us aware of a 10-15 minute wait for the food. We didn’t mind waiting, and he apologized and thanked us for our patience again when he brought it over. We will absolutely be back!

It’s hard to come by good chicken shawarma platters in CT. Especially when your husband is from NYC and is used to eating amazing chicken over rice. But he tried the Chicken shawarma platter and literally said it was one of his top 3 favorite places. We drive 20 min just to come here.

Absolutely outstanding experience from start to finish. The service was fast, friendly, and genuinely welcoming staff explained the menu clearly, helped me choose, and checked in at the right moments without hovering.
Now the food: the gyro wrap was phenomenal—warm, soft pita, perfectly seasoned meat, fresh toppings, and the sauce was balanced (creamy, tangy, not overpowering). Every bite tasted fresh and well put together, and the wrap held up nicely (no soggy mess, no falling apart).
The platter was even better because you get to enjoy everything separately. The portions were generous, the meat was juicy and flavorful, and everything looked clean and appetizing. The sides were fresh and not “afterthought” quality each part tasted like it was made with care.
The salad deserves its own shoutout: crisp greens, fresh salad , great texture, and it didn’t taste like it sat around. Even the dressing was on point enough to flavor it without drowning it.
Overall: excellent quality, great portion sizes, clean presentation, and top-tier customer service. This place delivers on taste and consistency. I’d recommend it to anyone and I’m definitely coming back.

Nadeem is such a genius and a gentleman. The food is always unsurpassed and to think I would normally have to drive to Waterbury or Milford for similar food. We had a huge platter of falafel for my daughter’s birthday and he charged me two thirds of what they normally would be. Everyone is always so happy with his food. Generous portions. Clean. Friendly. Would have shared my review the first time I visited but I ate my food so quick that I didn’t get a chance to take a picture for the review! Anywho, this is my second time here and i remembered to take a photo first. The food is absolutely delicious & well seasoned with amazing flavor. The beef chapli over salad is officially labeled as my favorite with extra Lemon & Herb sauce (green sauce) I’m so glad they opened close to us. Even the French fries are deliciously seasoned! You should deff try if your thinking about visiting.

Finally had a chance to try this place….Delicious. Great service better food.
