We ordered the Paneer 65, Shavan’s Special Malai Kofta, and Chilli Cheese Naan (all vegetarian), and every dish was absolutely delightful. They kindly made everything extra hot at our request, while still staying true to the authentic flavors. A special mention to Krish, who greeted our table with a warm smile and checked in on us regularly throughout the meal, making the experience even more enjoyable.

The place is classy and with sophisticated look. The food is amazing, one the best-tasting pani puri in Melbourne. We live far from Patterson Lakes but we came here all the way to order Cream Chicken. This has become our children’s favourite, aside from Butter Chicken. It was delicious, yummy and not many Indian restaurants have Cream Chicken in their menus. We are happy to find it here at Shavan’s. Their lamb rogan josh is good, the lamb is tender and full of flavour. Rotis and cheese naan is good too! The entire place is clean and the staff’s customer-service skills is 100%! They are welcoming, polite and Jamie also gave us complimentary cheese naan and pappadums. We, especially our kids, instantly loved this place because aside from their yummy food, the place is spacious and bright plus with good music! Good place for family dinner and to celebrate special occasions. Thank you Shavan’s for a wonderful dinner experience!

Excellent food, exceptional service is what we experienced. Very clean , lovely environment and nice elevation of being on level 1. The naan bread was a highlight being hot and fresh very addictive. The vindaloo curry lamb, prawn and butter chicken were all super tasty.

Never had a negative experience at this restaurant been here many times and the food is so delicious. It made me go from liking Indian food to absolutely loving it. It’s my favourite restaurant. It can be a little pricey but we try to only order what we know we will be able to get through and not too many drinks. It’s amazing food and great service although sometimes it takes a while to get the waiter to come back out to see if we need anything else after initial order. We love this place though so worth the wait.

Hands down one of the best Indian restaurants we have ever eaten at! The authenticity of flavours and presentation, paired with the exceptional service makes this place one of the biggest hidden gems in Melbourne! We’ve travelled the world and had Indian food in all the right places, but Shavans trumps! If you like a good Butter Chicken (or as the expats in India call it, Boot Chook) then this Is your place.. we frequent this place at least twice a month and it’s never disappointing. With the linen tablecloths and polished silverware, the fine dining service, it makes it the perfect place for our date nights without breaking the budget.

Have been a local shavan goer for 15 years and the quality, price and overall enjoyment of each meal has changed so much. No one dines in and takeaway always has a problem. Ordered a butter chicken as I always do and got a completely different dish, I can’t believe how bad it has become. Im never returning and it’s sad how a change in cooks can ruin the whole restaurant. It is also severely overpriced for simple food. Looking at 150 dollars just to feed 3 people rice, curry and naan. It is continuing downhill.

Shavans has been the local Patterson Lakes Indian restaurant for a very long time, they were fantastic prior to moving into to the larger establishment, these days, not so much.
Chicken Tikka, fantastic, rice and garlic nann, great, Beef madras tastes like it’s been defrosted and tossed in a pan to reheat (ordered many times hoping for better, never is, don’t bother), Lamb Vindaloo is the same, over priced, absolutely.
I’ve ordered from this restaurant many times over the years, this will be my last.

The food is still delicious. We have been visiting Shavans for 20+ years. We have seem the restaurant grow into what it is today.
The service was very friendly and prompt
Reception/management staff need to be mindful where they have a disagreement.

We went to Shavan’s for dinner and the experience over there was just next level amazing. From the atmosphere, ambience, staff service to the food quality and taste, this restaurant has raised the standards of Indian cuisine and really shines bright out of all the Indian restaurants in Melbourne. Our experience here today was amazing and we were treated so well. We got a complimentary curry on the side which didn’t just taste amazing but was also presented beautifully. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to many people who want to try Indian cuisine.

Couldn’t fault my experience here. Food was great, loved the Cheesy naan and butter chicken. Service was great, and the atmosphere was great. Sound doesn’t travel in this restaurant so you can have good convos without hearing others + it is nice and cool in there so you don’t overheated after your curry… recommend!
