One of my favorite places for Kanafeh with cheese when I’m in town visiting. I’ve tried many places in Michigan, but I must say Shatila is one of the best. Even after days of stuffing my face, it still taste great, and fresh.

Warm, quiet, welcoming… I forgot about this place for a few years but happy to find it again! Definitely going to be my new spot to come and have coffee and read, and study. Glad they’re still open. A legend of a bakery from the 2000’s ❤️❤️❤️

I normally go down to go to Dearborn, but I was in the area & I think I’ll make the trip every time. The staff is so sweet & it’s way less hectic here. Same delicious treats but without the crowd!

A Delightful Spot for Middle Eastern Desserts

Shatila Bakery is a great place to indulge in Middle Eastern desserts, offering a wide variety of Baklava that’s sure to satisfy your sweet cravings. They also serve coffee and ice cream, making it a nice spot for a quick treat or a relaxed dessert break.

The Baklava is obviously a must-try, with its delicate layers of flaky pastry and a perfectly balanced, not overly sweet, nutty filling. The Knafeh is another revelation, boasting a crispy, buttery exterior, cheesy interior. If you can’t decide, the mixed pastries box offers a great variety to satisfy different taste buds.

The bakery is women-owned, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. It features high chairs and outdoor seatings. The entrance faces west, making it easy to locate.

I would definitely visit this place again and recommend it to anyone with a sweet tooth and an appreciation for Middle Eastern pastries.

We stopped by Shatila Bakery for takeout and it was absolutely amazing! We ordered konafa and baklava, and both were out of this world — perfectly sweet, rich, and fresh. The konafa had that perfect balance of crisp and creamy, and the baklava was layered beautifully with just the right amount of syrup and crunch.

The place itself was super clean, staff were friendly and welcoming, and the service was quick even though they were busy. You can tell everything here is made with love and care — true authentic Middle Eastern desserts done right!

Definitely a must-visit spot for anyone who appreciates quality sweets. We’ll be coming back soon for sure!

I’m honestly shocked at the quality of the Dubai Strawberry Cup I received. The strawberries were clearly spoiled mushy, watery, and had that unmistakable sour taste that comes when fruit has gone bad. This wasn’t just a slight off-day; this was inexcusable.

Not only was the texture off, but the entire dessert had an unpleasant, almost rancid smell. I took one bite and had to throw the whole thing away. For a place with Shatila’s reputation, serving something like this is completely unacceptable. Either it had been sitting out far too long, or your quality control has seriously slipped.

This was not a minor disappointment. It was disgusting, and frankly, I’m concerned about food safety. Please do better!!!!

Visited this bakery for the first time yesterday with my nieces and cousin. It is clean and everything looks beautiful. But…does it taste good? Well, the nieces ate their candy before we even left and loved it. I ate my chocolate strawberry kunafa cup peacefully after dinner. It was AMAZING. PERFECT. DECADENT. I wished to go get another. The owner (I believe he was the owner) was prideful and respectful of our lack of knowledge of specific ingredients. He even gave us a sampling of their most famous product and my husband ate that all up. But seeing the glee in my nieces was so nice. We are planning a trip back very soon.

We got a large box of baklava to take to a Christmas party for my work, and everybody loved it! Enormous box for under $50 with all variety of stuff and the quality is definitely up there. Highly recommend especially if you’re going over to somebody’s house and you really want to contribute something that will open their eyes.

They do have the best Baklava in town for sure. But they do also have the best KANAFE also. They have different kinds of deserts to try and it was delicious to try them out. I waited a long time to try this place and was happy.

They opened this second store and is not rush as the main one. This place is hard to find a little but you can find it. Service is good and the place is maintained well.

They have pre packed boxes or you can make your own boxes close to same price. And the prices are very reasonable.
