Well. I don’t eat breakfast meat or grits, but I liked this place. Local places like this are important. Too many chains. Coffee was good and my eggs over medium were perfect. Toast was white bread but ok. Very busy and pretty crowded. Lady who was our server was very efficient. I’m from Raleigh. Coming home from the beach in the morning I passed up the big chains off 40 and found this place. Support local businesses.

Like the name says, old-fashioned country diner with an unassuming atmosphere. Lots of great breakfast options. The grits and eggs are always great but make sure you treat yourself to some traditional, salt-cured country ham. Just don’t forget to bring cash!

Not like it use to be! The restaurant needs to be thoroughly cleaned ie the stove a food prep area. I paid $25 for my wife and I, the meal was awful. I have lived in Clinton for ever but unfortunately I’m not going back. I wish them luck; they are a staple here in Clinton but might be in their own way to succeed.

Absolutely love this place!! Went a time or 2 with my aunt awhile ago. Just went this week and still great food and wonderful staff. Linda has been my server a few of the times I’ve been in and every time she has been fantastic. She serves quickly but is patient and extremely friendly

We went to support local shop but waited 50 minutes and several people who ordered after us were served first. Food looked and smelled good. Not sure on taste as we left because it did not appear as though our food was coming anytime soon. Wait staff was nice and attentive with coffee refill. Kitchen staff seemed overwhelmed and unorganized.

The food is always delicious. Every time I’ve been here they have a full house yet the manage to get the food out in a timely fashion. The wait staff is always attentive and makes sure to keep hot coffee in your cup as well.

OMG! Absolutely my Grandma’s cooking I’ve missed so much. And all I had to do was come back home to SamCo ❤️ The country ham, dry link sausage, grits, eggs, coffee and French toast were all amazing!!!!! Almost forgot how sweet the staff was too.
