The service was great! They have really good prices, and food came out pretty fast. I gave the food 3 ⭐️ because it was lacking on seasoning and was kinda bland. That doesn’t mean that all the dishes are though. It’s just my opinion on the dish I had. I do plan on going back and trying something else. It’s a quiet, locally loved shop! I definitely recommend going if you like a mom&pop type of restaurant.

I ordered the catfish special. It was perfect. The green beans and mashed potatoes and brown gravy was as well.
Our waitress Charlene was just the sweetest, as was the other ladies.

Table service was great. Meal took a little longer than expected but worth the wait. Where I live, if you order biscuits and gravy you’ll get sausage in your gravy, so if you like that, just know that here, it’s not like that- just plain white gravy.

We were visiting from out of town and we went here for dinner on our first night. We definitely were not disappointed! I have the catfish and it was absolutely delicious! Came back the next morning to get the biscuits and gravy people were telling us that was real good and unfortunately we were just a little too late, they had ran out! I will be sure to come here again when I’m in town for that biscuits and gravy!!!

I am in love with this cafe. Well done. Located at the Salem Business Center South, it had automatic doors as if it were once a grocery store. Upon inquiry I learned it was indeed once a grocery store, possibly Sharps Foods. It has been a restaurant for 23 years.
It’s reasonably priced. Very reasonably priced. The biscuits and gravy were magnificent. The coffee was good. The service was lightning quick. The food arrived in mere minutes. The staff were so very very friendly.
Delighted I decree. This cafe was a delightful delight. Nothing but a delighted happy joyful experience. If around Salem, Illinois, check it out. You’ll be glad you did.

This restaurant was a great breakfast spot for locals who haven’t found it yet, or those passing through should spend time to get slightly further off the highway. The menu has a selection to account for each kind of person’s breakfast choice, and the specials were also nice additions. We were promptly seated with a larger party of 10, and service was just as quick. Don’t pass this place up.
