I should have paid attention to the reviews my order was a pecan pie, sweet potato pie, jerk chicken/steamed rice n turnip greens, with a beef patty. Nothing was right with my uber order missing pecan pie, sweet potato pie, and my jerk chicken is curry chicken with cabbage and steamed rice. Come on now do way better i most definitely reported this company to uber eats. This absolutely have nothing to do with uber eats driver but everything to do with this company mishandling orders period. Never will i ever order from here again.

I stopped by to buy only two orders of plantains soggy, greasy and way overcooked. I’m glad I did not purchase anything else . Im very shocked and disappointed that they couldn’t even get plantains right and it was nowhere near closing time .

I called order in n when I got there the guy just put food back in oil for a few seconds and brought it back out. As I got in the car and took a bite the catfish was warm. You could tell it was just freshly made. Over fried , oil taste old. When they had just open I remember it was good .. I literally threw away my entire basket when I got home and tried to eat.

First of all, I love all kind of chicken dishes (fried, chicken wings with sauce, teriyaki chicken, etc…) but if you are looking for the best place for Jamaican jerk chicken, Sharks fish and chicken Jamaican and American is the best place in DFW. Their chicken is moist and tender. They also generously applied the Jerk sauce to the dish. My coworkers and I are regular patrons for this mom and pop’s food shop. I highly recommend and I cannot have enough of their goodies.

This is my first time at sharks! I not know what to expect! The menu had oxtail on it, but only in a large! I tried the oxtail with fried okra, rice and peas! It was good! Not as spicy as I am use to, but still good! I also had guava and carrot juice!!! It was a good combination! I was pleasantly surprised!!!

Rolanda and Mr. Leroy were absolutely amazing with their food and welcoming service!! Best Jamaican food I have ever had! They will soon be celebrating 10 years of the restaurant and it is much deserved! Highly recommend this to anyone! God Bless!

I’ve been ordering here since June through Uber Eats. The jerk chicken is tender and flavorful. The rice, peas and cabbage is food to my soul! I called them to say thanks for cooking such delicious food.

First visit. Ordered tilapia and shrimp. (Didn’t expect the tilapia to be fried) Staff was nice, isn’t much of restaurant inside but the food was fresh and very affordable. Really enjoyed the seasoning. Would return.

OVERALL: This dive DID NOT disappoint!!
I ordered a few things and hit up a friend to help. The oxtails were reported to be tender and welll seasoned as was the chicken wings (plain fried and dusted with their signature Shark seasoning). In fact, the consensus on those wings (and you get a whole chicken wing not pieces) was “damn good”!
I had the brown stew snapper with cabbage and greens and a side of rice and peas. I also tried the 6 piece shrimp basket (you know I gotta give y’all options!!) Don’t order the snapper if you’re hungry now because they cook it to order and that takes about an hour. But it is absolutely worth the wait and the price. Plus the portions are large enough to have each entree twice. Had mine for lunch the next day! The shrimp had an interesting flavor and texture. crispy but not overcooked. The fries were the low point if the evening and if you get the food to go or delivered, don’t bother. Ask to sub it with those savory turnip greens or succulent cabbage. I tried both deserts they had on had (not pictured). The chess pie was very tasty; the pecan left me looking for something but a good pecan pie is a precious rarity anywhere.
All in all I will Certainly return to Sharks Lancaster!
