I have been here several times and always been pleased. Today I had the lunch special of a beef gyro, onion rings, and a can of soda. The gyro was overstuffed with meat and tziki sauce. The pita was fresh, soft, and lightly grilled. Be prepared for a mess with lots of napkins. My son, who is a chef, enjoys their chicken shawarma. My only disappointment has been the falafel is dry and over cooked, but everything else we have tried has been wonderful. The staff is sometimes difficult to understand, but are very friendly. We will be back soon!

First time here, beef shawarma order, disappointed, they are using gyro meat as beef shawarma. Bread not heated well, thick sauce flavor, its a $11.99, a dollar more then original shawarma, the difference is obvious on the first bite ☹️

Delicious Mediterranean (or may be fusion) food! All the appetizers and kebabs were spot on — full of flavor and well-prepared. However, the pricing felt extremely high compared to the portion sizes and the location. Great taste, but definitely on the overpriced side.

This used to be one of my favorites but has unfortunately gone through some significant changes. Shawarma’s are (no exaggeration) half the size they used to be. Onion rings were some of the best around but have been completely removed from the menu. Not sure if it’s a change in ownership or change in strategy but seems like it’s time for me to find a new Mediterranean place…

Very warm and inviting atmosphere. We were greeting with smiles when we walked in and given a table. We were asked for our drink orders in minutes and our appetizers and entrees were our quickly, steaming hot and absolutely delicious.

We ordered the beef kabob, lamb kabob, and a kids hamburger, and ended up tossing everything after just one bite. The food looked nothing like the pictures—they were completely misleading. The kabobs weren’t Mediterranean at all. They were loaded with peppers and chunks of meat fat instead of actual meat, and they were super spicy, even though there was no mention of spice on the menu. The fries were so greasy the oil had soaked through both the fry bag and the main bag. Honestly, I don’t know what kind of food this was supposed to be, but it definitely wasn’t Mediterranean. Feels like false advertising. I wouldn’t be surprised if most of the positive reviews were fake.

Truly a sad order of food…both chicken and beef shawarma were dry, lacked flavor and had way too much onions in it( left a strong onion breath). The order of MALNOURISHED wings were terrible ! Can’t believe they served that up. The wings smelled like used oil, had no flavor and visually looked disgusting. A definitely NO for a return visit.

Excellent service and friendly staff
The wings, on the other hand, were sadly below average. Grilled and not of very good quality. A faint odd smell. Likely frozen.

I’m sure the rest of their food is tremendous judging by the other reviews. I would just recommend passing on the wings.

My friend Josh and I ate here on 11/6 and WOW is this place special. Great food pictures to help guide your choices if you are unfamiliar with this cuisine. The owner and employees come from areas of the world where hospitality is at a whole amazing level over what we typically experience in the United States and they really excel at this. I had the loaded shawarma sandwich and it is the best I have had in St. Louis….it took everything I had to be able to finish this huge sandwich while enjoying the deep flavors it gave. Looks like a huge amount of people do takeout here to local offices and such so they must have an outstanding local reputation. They have a very big menu of items from all over the Middle East. First time customer but can’t wait to return!

The staff was very kind! They greeted me with a smile and delicately prepared all of our food to order. Even the way they brought it out to the table showed the level of care that they took with preparing our food. The presentation was great!
I tried the chicken shwarma. It was absolutely delicious! The food was fresh and the flavors were excellent. I dipped mine in their tzatziki sauce which was also very yummy.
The only complaint I have is that the tables looked a little dirty. You could tell that they wiped them down regularly, but because of the material that the tables are made out of, you can see oils right on the surface in the glare of the light. So while they had whiped it down, it still looked dirty. Other than that, everything else was great! I would totally come back to Sharjah Mediterranean Grill!
