Delicious! The potstickers and kimchi poke bowl were fresh and loaded with flavor. Also great texture on the potstickers.

I’ll be honest: I’ve never really been a big fan of food halls in the United States. In Europe? LOVE them. They feel like they elevate the entire food culture — like a delicious little culinary playground.

But here in the U.S.? Food halls sometimes feel like a “restaurant retirement home”… just a bunch of struggling spots crammed into one building hoping for a second chance.

That said, this food hall came highly recommended by a local, so I decided to put my food hall skepticism aside and give it a fair shot. And after walking around, I’ll admit — there were actually tons of great options.

Since I try my best to eat clean and healthy, I landed on Shari Bowls… and WOW, I’m glad I did.

I ordered the Chicken Gohan Teriyaki Bowl, and it was phenomenal. Everything tasted fresh — like actually fresh, not “we microwaved this and hoped you wouldn’t notice” fresh. Nothing tasted frozen, pre-processed, or mass-produced. The chicken was cooked perfectly, the rice had the ideal stickiness, and the flavors all came together like they had a group meeting beforehand and agreed to be amazing.

So don’t let the fact that it’s a little hidden gem inside a food hall (right next to a giant pickleball facility, of all things) fool you — if you’re looking for something clean, healthy, and seriously delicious, this is your spot.

Ordered the udon bowl with tofu, and it was pretty much inedible. Just a bowl full of slimy overcooked noodles with slimy tofu on top. I removed the weird stretchy coating on the tofu to eat it. There was a little avocado. No veggies to be found. Maybe I caught them on a bad night?
