Served by Shannon herself in order for the waitress to have a vacation, real food and no corner cutting. This was the best breakfast I’ve had in several years. Real eggs, no beaters, and quality Vegetables that were not canned. Even the avocado was in nice shape. That all takes extra effort and this is why I give a five star rating for the first time in years as well. Bravo and thank you for a wonderful experience.

Was hankering for a burger and stopped in this place to check it out and was not disappointed! I think it was called the Smith Swiss. Double bacon mushroom Swiss burger with onion rings! The burger was freaking gigantic!! I’m 6’4″ 280 and I couldn’t finish it! Came out hot and dripping juices, the smell was mouthwatering! The mushrooms and cheese was oozing out the side like a lava flume dripping deliciousness! The onion rings were delicious and the batter was amazing. Melt in your mouth crispy with just the right amount of saltiness to balance out the sweet of the onion. Some of the reviews say the food is overpriced but I don’t think they know what they’re talking about. You pay premium prices for premium food products! The closest thing in price and quality is wild wings in Marquette and their mushroom Swiss burger was nowhere near as good and cost 3 or 4 dollars more and wasn’t as hearty. Lovely, friendly staff working there as well! Will definitely be back again!

Just got breakfast here to go to back to our campground. Food was ready on time and I was in n out quickly. The Monte Cristo we ordered is best we have ever had. What a great little spot for breakfast.

Oh my goodness!!! This was some good home cooking. The portions were amazing and flavorful! We had a variety of food from salad to nachos and burgers and some sandwiches. The Jojo fries were crispy and better than anything else I have had! The waitress was super sweet and friendly! She answered any question without hesitating and made us feel like family. Loved it ❤❤

Enjoyed Shannon’s Home Cooking for the first time yesterday for their Fish Fry. $12 for an adult includes a drink. Many different fish options, baked and fried, salad, sides (fried okra, mashed potatoes, absolutely delicious Mexican rice), and home made chocolate oatmeal bars. Friendly & attentive staff! Only downside for me was that the humidity brought in a few too many flies for my enjoyment, but that’s not the restaurants fault! 10/10 will be back!

We went here about a week ago and it was absolutely awful. We had to wait 45 minutes for an simple breakfast. (We were one of two couples inside). Both of our omelets were raw and runny. The potatoes in it were not washed so we were crunching on dirt and they were very old. They did not scrap the grill off so our food was extremely greasy. The hashbrowns were burnt black on the outside and raw in the inside. I was very disappointed. We have gone here a few times before and it was amazing but it was absolutely disgusting this time.

Great food, amazing customer service! If you’re looking for a really good meal, Shannon’s Home Cooking is the place. The staff treats you like family. Shannon first opened right before the shut down. During the shut down, she offered free breakfast and lunch to the children. She’s donated numerous meals to people in need. She and her staff have huge hearts and wonderful personalities.

Only giving it a 2, we were only patrons, yet kids and teen were running in the diner. Floor by our table was filthy. Husbands order messed up, my order missing salad items as specified and taco meat was old and dried up. Waitress was nit attending to our table. Slow service and we will never go back. They used to be quite good. Seems the cooks were too busy cutting up and laughing to read the order ticket properly.
