Service was really great and the place has the downhome feel that we look for on our road trips. I wanted to love this place. But the fries were skinny and just average. Not like the photos on Google of big fat hand cut fries. Tater tots were standard frozen fare. Ours weren’t hot when served. Chicken fried steak sandwich was served on a perfect bun. Not much else to say for it. Hubby said his cheeseburger was “fine”. All in all, better than fast food but left me a bit disappointed.

I don’t write a lot of reviews, but this Shannon’s burger barn is well worth it. One of the greatest burgers I’ve ever had. Incredible how the get everything on there and it doesn’t fall apart! Convenient location for travelers. Great staff and great service. The price is amazing for the quality and service as well. I recommend this place to anyone passing by or in the area, trust me it’s worth it! I will definitely eat there again.

Stopped here for a lunch to go on our way home to Dallas. We ordered the chili cheese burger and the fat boy burger. The burgers are great! We got curly fries and onion rings as our sides, and they were both awesome.
Deducting one star due to the 40 minute wait (wouldn’t have minded if I hadn’t been quoted 10 minutes). I was a server for many years, so waiting doesn’t bother me. I know it takes a long time to make quality home made food, but a little accuracy is appreciated. Also deducting the star because there were no napkins, ketchup packets, etc in our to go bag.

Shannon’s Burger Barn used to be a top-notch establishment with fantastic food and phenomenal service. However, many good things come to an end. I feel that this business will soon fall apart if changes are not made. First of all, the food is very greasy here, and not in a good way. I would always leave this place with an oily residue on my hands and face. I ordered a salad from here once and found four hairs (and yes I counted them) in my salad. I think there was more hair than salad on that plate. I have also heard the owner shout relentlessly at an employee. And lastly, I witnessed a rat about the size of my hand crawl from underneath a booth to the booth next to me. Please do not eat here. This place is disgusting and needs to be shut down.

Food was fresh, prices were excellent, and service was wonderful. We had the jalapeño bacon burger which had fresh jalapeños mixed into the meat. It was fabulous. The French fries and sweet potato fries were freshly made and delicious. The chicken strip special was excellent- freshly battered and a generous serving along with access to their salad bar, fresh homemade stew and great cornbread (wish we lived closer).

Service was so so not what you would call great. Ordered take out food looked as if they just slopped it together and tasted just the same. Price for two burgers and the smallest portion of fries I ever seen. Everything just fowled up would have been cheaper going and buying two steaks and cooking them myself. WON’T BE BACK TO PISS POOR PLACE.
