Absolutely delicious! Every dish was tasty! Water was infused with citrus. They only gave us one menu but made up for it by including the new menu of new items. A+

This Shanghainese restaurant feels very authentic, which is confirmed by the many Chinese patrons dining there. I especially loved the sweet and sour pork—it was incredibly delicious!

We had such a great time trying Shanghai Taste and loved getting to experience their new dishes. We had the pleasure of enjoying a wide range of dishes, and each one was delicious. The Sheng Jian Bao and Chili Pork were my personal favorites, full of flavor and cooked beautifully. My husband especially loved the Green Onion Pork and Crab Yolk Xiao Long Bao.

It’s a wonderful spot for a casual midweek date or family lunch/dinner. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the menu offers several authentic dishes that stand out from the more typical options. We can’t wait to go back and try more!

No offense! Their food looks good on the outside, but their pork meats were too dried. The pork ribs tasted too sweet. I also tried their fried shrimp, the fried shrimps were too oily. Too expensive for food that taste awful. Omg… their services weren’t too friendly and one of them has hearing problem. I consider going to a restaurant to have better service than this horrible services. To other customers, the choices are yours to choose which restaurants you wanted to go, I certainly cannot say where are the best restaurants in Las Vegas. There are tons of other great restaurants in downtown of Las Vegas that’s all I can say. Surely I will not go back to this restaurant ever again.

Been wanting to try this place. But somehow my wife and boys went there before me. They said it was really good.
So today after kids sports, we went there. Love the vibe, service and the menu ordering simplicity.
Everything we ordered were good. My boys loving the xiao long bao.. steamed dumpling. They kinda burst the juice in your mouth. Not too hot, it was perfect.
The shanghai prawns were good, crispy that you can even eat the shells.
We will def come back again and thank you for awesome food and service.

ShangHai Taste (Southwest) is a standout for lovers of authentic Shanghainese cuisine in Las Vegas. Every meal for us starts the same way — with their cold Kao Fu, a beautifully textured, slightly sweet braised wheat gluten dish that sets the tone for what’s to come. From there, we usually can’t resist their signature fried chicken — crisp, juicy, and perfectly seasoned — easily one of the most craveable items on the menu.

Of course, no visit is complete without an order (or two) of their famous xiao long bao (soup dumplings), which rival the best you’ll find anywhere in town. Thin-skinned, delicate, and packed with rich broth, they’re a must-try, but we also like to mix things up depending on our mood. The Shanghai shrimp and pork dumpling soup is lighter but packed with flavor, while the fish dumplings offer a subtle, clean counterpoint. ShangHai Taste’s casual setting, quick service, and consistently excellent food make it a regular spot for us — whether we’re craving a comforting solo meal or sharing a table full of dishes with friends.

Nice dim sum place near the house. Sat down immediately. Friendly amd fast service. Menu already on table for fast ordering. Everything we orders was delicious and hot. Always always in need variety so always have food to take home.
Soup, pan fried and chili oil dumpling a must and I couldn’t pass up on the beef and Oyster mushrooms with fried rice.
All I can say it was plenty and my kids were happy with what was brought home. Will come back again.

Ordered online delivery. For the price its was ok quality and size, good experience except for one item. Decent texture on Noodles, xiaolongbao had a very fresh smell of dough and a lot of soup in each. The fried pork was disappointing, its basically pork katsu put into a bowl.

I ended checking out their grand opening of the new location for Shanghai taste because I went to the rainbow location and the waiter recommended that it would be a great experience. And He was not wrong. The Shanghai taste at the rainbow location was already great with their quality and amazing prices but this new location topped it with better quality.

Food: we ordered their Traditional soup dumplings, crab soup dumplings, pan fried soup dumplings, their new fried chicken, and their new beef with king mushroom.
Overall all their soup dumplings were amazing and definitely super fresh. But what stood out this time, it was their pan fried dumpling and the beef king mushroom dish. These pan fried dumplings was so juicy and perfectly done. I could have eaten 100 of them. Their beef dish was super tender and not salty with a perfect balance that could eat it without rice. However, we would have a bow of white rice.
Their fried chicken was a great portion and good to perfection but it really lack of seasoning , salt or maybe add a sauce with it. 4.5/5

Service: we had the same guy from the rainbow location and he was great and informative. He was very professional and attentive. He had a great attitude and you can tell he enjoys his works and shared his thoughts. We went when it was not super packed. 5/5

Atmosphere: this location is bigger and more spacious and modernized. I am surprised they didn’t booth style along the walls to add more seats. The open kitchen windows is still there for you to look at the dumpling makers. Love this concept because it show case their cleanliness and their professionalism. 5/5

Overall this place is one of the best place for soup dumplings in Vegas!. I hope they start offering traditional pan fried dumplings soon and maybe some shrimp dumplings ! Can’t wait to come back and visit!

Ate here on a Sunday at 2pm. It was good that you can do reservation online. Had to wait 5 mins for our table, but that was okay. The ambience is okay, simple deco, not much tables. Need to up the AC, it was a little warm inside. You can see staff making XLB through the window which is cool. We got seated but no one gave us the menu til my husband flagged someone 10-15mins later. Dimsum style where they give you a paper to put #s on how many you want to order. Short and simple menu, which isn’t a bad thing at all.

The XLB – the crab and original were so yummy! Flavorful and comes with 8 dumplings. Good deal. Didn’t like the beef one, it was a tad salty.

Sheng jian – comes in 4 big pcs. It’s so good, just be careful when you bite into it. The soup squirts to the one next to you. Lmao

Porkchop – order this! This was my kids’ highlight for our lunch. So tender yet crisp. So good!

Ox tongue – cold appy layered with cucumbers. It was yummy.

House noodles – this was my favorite. Fat, chewy noodles. So yummy!

Rice cake with chicken – so so, I wished it had more flavor to it.

Sweet n sour pork ribs – good amount to share. A little too sweet for my taste but the kids loved it.

Chinese broccoli & house fried rice – it’s alright if you wanna have veggies and rice. Nothing special

All in all – we will be back. I’d like to try everything and I’ll be back for more XLB and noodles for sure. They just opened so they’re still ironing some stuff.
