Dishes I ordered were okay, but I wouldn’t go back to try something else b/c the server was so rude. It was a weird time of day to eat lunch, around 2:00 p.m. on a Friday and it wasn’t busy at all. One is able to access the patio without actually going inside the restaurant but we obviously went inside to let them know we were there, ask to be seated, etc. just like one would do at any other restaurant. This server looked very put out by us coming in and actually asking to sit down and instead of taking us out and seating us or telling us to go ahead and sit down and bringing us menus, she just grudgingly handed me a menu as I was standing at the hostess stand so I had to decide on the spot what I wanted instead of sitting down and reviewing it like a normal person at a sit-down restaurant. That put me off right away and honestly we probably should have just walked out.
The patio is lovely though. Very peaceful and quiet – no music blaring at you like a lot of places. I ordered spring rolls, steamed dumplings and the Tom Yum Soup. All were fine, not bad but not amazing. Perhaps other dishes on the menu are better, but I had to decide so quickly I didn’t have time to review most of the menu. I’m also totally willing to concede that perhaps the initial impression going in could have colored my opinion of the rest of the meal, so unfortunately that was my experience. As far as the food goes, it doesn’t particularly stand out from any other similar restaurants. Patio is pleasant. Inside looked very dull.

Mmm so good! I’m picky about Chinese food. I get grossed out by weird texture chicken but I’m always satisfied here. I place to go orders often and the gentleman is always kind and professional and food is great

The Mala String Bean with Chicken was Outstanding!!! The Spring Rolls were very good, but the Hot & Sour Soup tasted like it had been re-warmed a few too many times…
Honestly, I’d have to give this place a 4.5 if google-maps would allow that, because there are some better Asian restaurants within 5 minutes of here…, But, the Shanghai Lily is MUCH better than most other Asian restaurants in this price-range.
And THANK-YOU Very Much !!! to the proprietor who took the time to walk me through the Apple-Pay Set-Up process, and didn’t just refuse to serve me when I told him I left my wallet at home !!!

Chicken fried rice – the rice is not fried, it looked more like boiled/steamed rice. chicken pad Thai, peppercorn wings, chicken fried rice all not very flavorful, pad Thai was not spicy. Expensive prices for lunch! $45 for 3 meals at lunch.

Bad service, the woman with an Asian appearance since we arrived treated us with a bad face, made us drink on the table and did not have the kindness to change the table even though the restaurant was practically empty, the oyster sauce burned and the food was horrible, I will never return there again.

Food was great, and the service was quick (we were the only ones there at around 2PM, so I’m sure that helped). No kids menu, but we ordered a chicken fried rice to split between them that enjoyed. Nice ambiance inside

We were doubtful when we first entered as no one was there inside seating. But when we got the food we really enjoyed a lot. Fried rice is very flavourful.. and crispy chicken skewers.. we asked for spicy peppercorn chicken it was really tasty just melts in our mouths, just end up ordering an another plate..
Ambiance is okay. Place is a bit dull but really enjoyed the food.
