We ordered 3 dishes that bear the name Shanghai to verify its authenticity. Only the sticky rice cake passed the mark. The noodle dish should be crispy outside and soft inside but it came as a block of dried noodles. The rice dish supposedly has lots of Shanghai bok choy and it only has tiny pieces.
The kitchen vent probably wasn’t working well and the restaurant was full of greasy air so we chose to sit outside. Unfortunately they can only use disposable utensils and plates for outdoor seating. That immediately lowered the eating experience.

Shanghai Haus is hands down the best Chinese food I’ve had in a long time. Every dish tasted fresh, comforting, and full of flavor.
I ordered the broccoli beef, orange peel chicken, and the Shanghai red braised pork belly, and honestly there wasn’t a single miss. The broccoli beef was tender and perfectly sauced, not greasy at all. The orange peel chicken had the right balance of sweet and citrusy with a little kick, and the pork belly was the star. So rich, melt in your mouth, and packed with deep savory flavor.
All of the entrees come with rice, which makes it even better for sharing or leftovers. I also ordered their house made soup dumplings and they were incredible. Thin skins, juicy inside, and full of flavor without needing much extra sauce.
You can tell this is a place that knows what they’re doing. The food speaks for itself and I’ll absolutely be coming back to try more dishes. Highly recommend if you’re looking for quality Chinese food in the area.

I’m so happy to find another place to satisfy my spicy food cravings. I got the beef/fish dry hot pot and it was perfectly spicy for me and not too spicy to suffer. It has a bit of numbing mala effect.

Delicious mix of authentic and american chinese food! My favorite was the duck, spicy Szechuan fish, and braised pork belly. Better to eat here family style so you can try more things.

Their food was average. Service was slow and they didn’t even smile or asked us how it was. We could hear the chef yelling loudly the whole time. I think for the price I paid, they should at least provide some good quality food because it was not cheap ($33 soup & $19 beef dish)! Definitely not going back any more!!!

This place has seriously good Chinese food. Everything me n my family ordered was hot, delicious and perfectly seasoned. Service was friendly and super quick. No cap has a beautiful interior area too. Legit worth comin again.
