My experience here is not reflected in reviews or pictures at all. I pulled up to a boarded up front, which I can overlook due to renovations, yet this looked a bit different. I had placed an order online. The dining area was dated and had a different feel than the pics online. I placed takeout, so that wasn’t an issue.

Shanghai Grill’s been open for a number of years now, and I think this was the first time I’ve tried their General Tso’s chicken. The food was very good, and it’s always seemed to be good quality. The hot and sour soup is a good balance of spicy and tart, and the chicken was well flavored and just spicy enough. The staff was friendly, and things seemed clean. There’s some sort of construction going on right now, but things seem okay. Their mapo tofu is another favorite of mine. I think Shanghai Grill is probably the best Chinese restaurant on the south side of Holland.

All the food was extremely delicious! It was my first time having Peking Duck and now it become one of my favorite dishes. Since not all Chinese restaurants have Peking Duck, I am really glad that I got to try it here! The workers there were super friendly too, and the interior design is very unique, which makes the whole dining experience quite interesting!

It’s good, they have a huge menu and even cook right in front of you! They do cool tricks to entertain you which I think is nice but.. They put this weird sauce all over every single food. The noodles the steak the shrimp and even the rice! My only suggestion is “Ask” if they want the sauce on their food, but other then that everything works out.
