The Blue Whale (Gabe)
I just had dinner here. We ordered Sweet & Sour chicken and a 4 Seasons(C28).
The chicken in the S&S is good. It’s the right amount of crispy. The rice is also good with nice flavor and fresh vegetables.
The 4 Seasons is like a surf-n-terf. It has shrimp, beef, chicken and pork. It’s flavorful and is combined with healthy vegetables like broccoli, baby corn and mushrooms.
All of our food was very fresh and hot. The red sauce I received with my S&S wasn’t watered down like some other restaurants do.
Pork eggrolls were included in our meal. They are large and tasty with the perfect amount of crispiness.
I recommend trying this restaurant if you’re looking for some GOOD Chinese food. Don’t forget the chopsticks, they’re really high quality too!
PS: Due to COVID-19 restrictions there is currently no indoor seating available.

We decided to give this place a shot as we enjoy Chinese/Asian cuisine. We were pretty disappointed. The portions were similar to other places, but the flavors were all off. The C13.左宗鸡 General Tso’s Chicken was just sweet with no spice. The 鍋貼或水餃 / Steamed or Fried Dumpling (8 Pieces) that we got fried were super soggy. The 43. 水煮三样 Steamed Chicken, Shrimp & Scallop with Garden Vegetable was rough. I know it was low salt and oil but it was beyond tasteless. The chicken was mushy and the scallops and shrimp were over cooked and/or frozen. The egg roll was burnt and definitely frozen and not fresh. The best parts were the white rice and 面干 Crispy Noodle.

I had mentioned to a friend that I wish we had better options for Chinese food locally, and she recommended Shanghai Express. The food was super good, cute little resturaunt, and the owners seemed really sweet! Definitely the best Chinese food that we’ve had locally in a really long time!

This place was my Chinese go to for 20 years. I ordered beef, but received chicken. The chicken was soft and mushy and nothing like past orders. I called the next day and they didn’t seem to care. Probably won’t go back again.

Food is fine, not they do not comprehend special requests at all. I don’t know how many times I rephrased the fact that I want spicy food, and it never is. I specifically said I wanted my General tso’s chicken to be “as spicy as possible” it is not at all.

First time eating here. The food was very delicious! I had the General Tso’s chicken. It was the most tender chicken I’ve ever had at a Chinese restaurant. I was very surprised by the taste and how fresh it was compared to others I’ve had in the past. The rice wasn’t dry either.
Reason for the 4 stars on the atmosphere:
I didn’t dine in, so I can’t say much on the atmosphere, but it seemed like it would be a quiet place to sit and eat.
