Beef and broccoli with fried rice was absolutely horrible!! The rice was white rice SOAKED in brown sauce that had a not so good taste. And no egg roll. That was an extra $6.80. Won’t be back. Shouldn’t be serving this food if you dodnt know what your doing !! And if you reply with an apology it’s not accepted!!

This is our go to for Chinese food. The owners are amazing! Everything is fresh and very well prepared. Great soups, the best general tso chicken, crab ragoons, steak teriyaki and wings. If you want to try something different than your typical fried rice, try their white fried rice it’s awesome! Curry rice noodles are also amazing. Don’t forget to have a Mai Tai. Theirs are the best you can get anywhere!

Extremely low quality for a huge price tag.
I’m a bit of a Chinese food snob being from Boston and living in Southern NH.
The Kung Pau chicken and kung Pau beef were unedible. Had the most disgusting odor I have ever smelled. I won’t describe it to be respectful but 8 other people said the same exact thing. I’ve been to animal farms that smell better. Not sure what type of meat or sauce that was but by far the worst I’ve ever had.
Fried rice (2 types, house and pork) were both very dark and burnt and flavor was old tasting like bad, low quality oils were used and the pork chunks must’ve been weeks old no doubt.
Ribs were awful and chicken figure batter had a very unique taste that the kids could not eat.
I wouldn’t have written a review but we threw away $215 worth of grossly tasting and overpriced Chinese food. Only thing that we could tolerate was the lomein and the sesame chicken.
Overall very poor quality low ingredients food.
I’m sorry for such a negative review but we need better Chinese food up at the lakes region, especially for that kind of money.

Absolute worst food I’ve ever had. Never seen food less appetizing. Broccoli Chicken looked like they were boiled together, zero flavor whatsoever. When I asked if there was a mistake, the “cook” exclaimed “I do nothing wrong. That how I make it”. Worst $20 I’ve ever spent, and they were adamant we would not get a refund. To anyone who’s thinking about going here, please consider eating out of the toilet instead, you’ll probably have a better experience.

over an hour and a half wait for takeoutand probably the worst i’ve ever had. got hot and sour soup, vegetable lo mein, and shrimp with vegetables. never had shrimp and vegetables be like a soup and the lo main was worse than panda express. if ever there is a time that shang hai restaurant is the only open restaurant, like next christmas… i’ll starve then waste another $50.

Definitely not Chinese food I’m used to (I grew up in Hong Kong). Perhaps it’s common style for the northeast? Lots of cabbage in the won ton soup, no noodles in the chow mein noodles, beef pepper steak was okay, sweet and sour chicken was edible but not great… And it was expensive. Like I said, definitely not typical Chinese food but perhaps a NH twist??

Very friendly staff. This restaurant does mostly take out now but you may be able to get a seat in the bar. Fresh food and large portions. The drink prices are fabulous! Large parking lot and handicapped assessable.

I’ve been looking for a good Chinese food restaurants since I retired and moved up to the Lakes Region. I finally found it in Shanghai Restaurant. I only gave her four stars for the atmosphere because there were only seating Us in the bar that night and I really didn’t care to sit in the bar to eat but the food made up for it and so did the waitress. I’ll be back!
