I was really disappointed with my experience at Shane’s Rib Shack. I ordered a BBQ sandwich and, partway through eating it, I found a piece of plastic in the sandwich. That’s not just unpleasant — it’s a serious food safety issue.
I’ve eaten here before and expected better, which made this even more frustrating. Finding plastic in your food completely ruins the meal and makes you question how carefully things are being prepared in the kitchen. After that, I obviously couldn’t finish eating.
Because of this experience, I will not be coming back again. I hope management takes this seriously and improves their quality control, because this is not something any customer should have to deal with.

Thoroughly enjoyed our date lunch today. We got here shortly after opening, which meant a quiet restaurant and plenty of tables. Around 1145 they usually pick up and sometimes it may be a bit of a wait to find a table, but I find it worth it.
My wife had the BBQ chicken, which was chunked and off the bone, very flavorful and not messy, which allowed her to eat it with a fork. Different than other places, but a nice change.
I had the Rib Plate and while the ribs were good, especially with the spicy sauce, the okra was simply excellent. I don’t know who was in the kitchen, but they did a wonderful job!
Normally we both leave something on the plate after we are done eating, but not today. Thank you for a great meal.

Ordered over the phone half rack combo and order was ready when I arrived. Love the points system. Favorite sides are macaroni and cheese with baked bbq beans. I’ll be back. Love me some Shane’s.

Went there yesterday to get the two rib dinners they have for $24.99. The lady behind the counter said no not at this store??? That’s fine I went ahead and ordered. Got home the ribs were sooooo dry and burnt! The peach cobbler was not fresh. The beans had way to much sugar in them. I did eat the potato salad. Shane’s used to be so good. I don’t know what happened. Just wasn’t good at all. Very disappointed

Ordered TWO plates that came out to $55(I understand capitalism and inflation but these plates aren’t even worth $30 total) BEFORE taxes and delivery fees. My husband ordered the rib plate with the sauce, I ordered the chicken plate with sauce on the side.
They gave him less than a dollop of sauce. It wasn’t even enough to enjoy a SINGLE rib.
They forgot my sauce completely. The sides were meh…minus the cole slaw. Zero flavor on it; it was just cabbage drenched in milky water. Def don’t order it ever.

Tipped the driver $25 and now feel like they got less than they deserved. They provided a better service than the actual restaurant.

Ordered take out. Half chicken and sides. Prices were very reasonable. Food was ready on time with utensils. Food was very good. The Mac and Cheese and Beans were both spot on. The chicken was really good, and I need to try other sauces next time. There was plenty of seating available and next time I’ll probably dine in. Ample parking. Clean facilities. Friendly staff.

Arrived at lunchtime and was able to order at the counter immediately. The cashier was friendly and was keeping with the CoViD requirements by wearing a face mask, as were all the other employees.
The establishment was very clean and we waited about 5 minutes before the server brought us our food. I ordered the Lunch Grilled Chicken Wrap Basket with onion rings and macaroni & cheese with a sweet tea ($8.29). The Mac-n-cheese and onion rings were hot and delicious. The grilled wrap was good (cold). It came with chicken, lettuce, cheese, and dill pickles.
The husband had 8 Smoked Wings ($10.99) and a Medium drink ($2.79). He’s ordered the wings many times from Shane’s, but this time it didn’t tasted as smoked as before.
I also ordered the small peach cobbler ($1.89) & the husband got the brownie ($1.79). Both were PERFECTION. I highly suggest you don’t skip dessert here.
We will definitely be back and try another new entree. Can’t wait.

I don’t know who was managing tonight but This location leaves a lot to be desired. My food was just barely warm ( pork covered fries) so I asked to have it hot. They came back with hot fries but the pork was still cold. Two strikes. My husband’s sweet potato fries were overcooked. Isn’t food supposed to be served at a certain temperature? The girl a t the register was lost in space and the bathroom access area had boxes piled up. Perhaps they need an inspection. Three strikes I’m out and won’t be back. DEFINITELY not worth the trip from Thomson.

This restaurant has gained five stars, hands down!! The pulled pork was delicious! The coleslaw was great also! The fried okra was done to perfection! It was fresh, hot, and popped in my mouth when I bit into it, just the way I liked! Their peach tea is also totally delicious! As a side note, the Texas toast was only toasted on one side instead of both, but since it wasn’t the main part of the meal, I’m not gonna make a huge complaint. I was so glad that we found this place and made it our dinner stop!

I visited Shane’s in Evans . The potato salad is dynamite. Who ever made it I pray that you continue to do so. This salad has eggs in it. This is what makes it so special. My ideal place to it. The staff with the young people are so friendly and kind. Thought I would give them due diligence too.
