This place is amazing. Very relaxed environment and close to campus. Great spot for students. The food here is one of my favorite. The pesto sauce needs to be used more often. I tried it and it was fantastic. Great job Shane.

Oh my A+ , this was my 1st time I got the Sunday BBQ Mac and cheese. So much flavor, it was seasoned just right, oh my the taste hit my taste buds and they went wild. I will definitely be back for more. Pricing is good for the amount of food you get and you get alot. Great customer serivce, I went as they opened so it was quiet, clean, chilled atmosphere. Oh my the food was busting with flavor I love it. ❤️. It did not take them long to make either. Easy to park, quick serivce.

I’ve been wanting to try a mac bar for a while and found that Shane’s had opened nearby! I was excited and not disappointed! I got a baked potato with Alfredo, brisket, brocolli, and pickled jalapeno. The pickled jalapeno was an interesting choice on my part but was no fault of the restaurant’s! Overall it was still delicious! They loaded up the brisket too! My fiancé got a standard mac and cheese with bacon, it was simple and delicious! Son got a nacho with brisket and bacon and he demolished it.
They had the option of adding breadcrumbs but my only complaint about that was that the breadcrumbs were too fine to add all that much crunch. ((If the restaurant is looking into suggestions: might I recommend looking into whether a good panko would crisp up in the oven!))
I was reading the reviews and people said the toppings didn’t go well together. To which I say – it’s build your own…that’s not the restaurant’s fault you picked weird toppings lol There are plenty of suggested combos you can go with if you’re unsure what to put on it.
To people saying they could make it at home – the benefit of a place like this is that everyone gets to hav3 it their own way. At home you usually get one choice of meat and a handful of toppings. My house likes all different things. My fiancé likes crawfish and we don’t. I like Alfredo, my kid doesn’t. I got baked potato, fiance got mac, kid got nachos. We each got what we wanted and we were all very happy with our choices!
The smallest complaints was the men’s bathroom was kind of stinky and there were other reviews saying that it wasn’t the cleanest. But I didn’t come to Shane’s for the restroom. I came for the mac.
We had a bit of trouble hearing the staff and them hearing us. The glass divider was tall and thick. This combined with the music made it hard to hear each other. Might have the staff point to the toppings before adding to make sure it’s what the customer is requesting.
The three of us got our food built and to the register within 5 minutes and the staff was nice!
We’re excited to try it again soon!

Wow. Wow. Wow. I’ve been (in)patiently waiting for this place to open and this is better than I could have ever expected. There’s so many different ways to build your mac, potato, salad, or grilled cheese. I’ve been thinking about it since i left, and starting to dream about it in my sleep. I’ll definitely be back! The workers are very very friendly and put really good portions of what you want. The only complaint I have (if i’m being nitpicky) is that the music and plastic divider between us and the staff, aren’t really friends. It’s hard to hear the workers and I have to give a soft yell. Other than that, everything is perfect and I can’t recommend enough.

When Shane Vallot posted this was coming out, I wasn’t excited. I’m not really a Mac n cheese fan BUT I tried one from the OG regular with Chunks of chicken and it completely changed my mind .
They also do potatoes, I had a brisket potato last night that was very good.
I think restaurants like this that let you customize will always win bc you can get whatever you like & the restaurant gets to charge for each additional topping, making it more profitable BUT I like that stuff.
It’s like Pizza Artista but with Mac & potatoes.
And yes they serve the same bread pudding. Which I had to get one of each flavor.

I like to try and support the new businesses downtown but this place definitely misses the mark. Maybe it’s a “cursed location” but I was excited for the concept as pasta is my favorite food. But the execution was incredibly flawed – my pasta was thrown together laZily and messily and the ingredients seemed very low-quality like the pepperoni looked old and almost green. I took one bite and threw the rest away tbh. Won’t be returning

I was really hoping to like this place. I went in with my girlfriend last night around 7:30, which according to the Facebook was 2 and a half hours before closing as of their pinned post 3 months ago. Google says 30 minutes before closing, so I believe the Facebook time hasn’t been updated based off of how one of the workers threw a fit and was aggressively placing and knocking things around after we came in.
I had ordered the Hot Chick, and was really disappointed in the food. There occasionally some good flavors in the bowl, but it was a mix of 10% great taste, 40% good taste, and 50% bland. The way the cheese was toasted towards the top made it too difficult to mix as the cheese melted and hardened together as opposed to melting to the rest of the food. It was a really strange experience, and not at all what I had expected from what I had heard about the restaurant, and it had turned me off of trying Shane’s Quesadilla Burgers as well.

Everything was amazing. Very clean, all the employees welcomed us upon entering with no wait. The food options were great along with the food. They give you more than u can eat just one bowl 2 people can eat off. Very flavorful.

Wife and I tried this place for the first time last week, and WOW! The food was amazing! The staff was friendly and the cozy feeling of the wooden benches made me feel at home. I will definitely be coming here more! Can’t wait to try the Fajita place too! 😉
