It has such a warm, lovely atmosphere and everyone was working so hard but still they treated you with so much respect and consideration. The food was SO SO GOOD!! I ordered the beef koobideh kebob and it was so juicy and flavorful. As an appetizer they serve you fresh, hot bread with mint and butter and I just had such a great time, and I came back the next day for lunch aha! You must try it, it will be worth your while. 🙂
The staff were all so caring and attentive, even though there is so much rush at this restaurant. I regret that I cannot remember everyone’s name, but Hussein, Ali, Sorogh (I hope that is correct!) and the two hispanic gentleman ( one had dimples and the other I believe that his name was Santiago?) whom looked after me with so much care. Take care and wish everyone the best <3
My recent visit for dinner left me with mixed feelings. The food, particularly the large kebab plate, was good, but not great—just solid Persian fare.
Unfortunately, the atmosphere was quite distracting. The restaurant is tight, and the staff, especially who I assume was the manager, seemed very tense. He appeared to be yelling at someone (maybe staff or kitchen?) constantly, which made it hard to focus on our meal. The tight seating also meant we could hear everyone else’s conversations easily.
Finally, finding parking was difficult.
If you prioritize standard, decent Persian food above a comfortable dining experience and easy parking, this spot will work.
Food: The lunch specials here are fantastic and feed you well. I got the Koobideh Platter and the beef skewer was delicious. The grilled tomato and onion really accompanied the meat. I opted for the green salad and lentil soup for starters which really kicked off the meal. I forgot to ask for the garlic sauce but I was told this is a must have next time.
Service: We had a great waitress when we visited. She was friendly, efficient, and accommodating to a bunch of different orders. Great service. Water glasses always filled.
Ambiance: Shamshiri looks like a Persian restaurant. Main points is that the table layouts were well spaced and maximized service flow. Clean restroom.
He made me feel like I was getting the food for free and it’s not the case. I explained that it was my mom’s bday but not like other restaurants that sing the happy Birthday and give a slice of something. The tip is not the amount I selected so I have to take care of it. I’m including a picture of the undercooked chicken, at that point, we had already ordered more food. My mom is disabled and she is now 84, it was a nightmare to find a parking spot, I decided to check in the alley and a woman from next door business came out so rude and nasty to tell me that it was not Shamshiri Grill restaurant parking lot. Well it was a long drive since there are not persian restaurants in the area where we live and at the same time a really sour experience, so I no longer recommend to spend money on this place anymore.
