They offer authentic, traditional Persian dishes — especially flavorful stews and kebabs. The portions are generous and can easily feed two people. You can choose from several Persian rice mix to pair with your meal, and it’s worth trying the Persian tea and sweets for dessert. I’d definitely go back if I’m in the area again.

I had such a wonderful experience at Shamshiri (Westwood!)! The owner Fereiddon was so welcoming and greets everyone with such a warm smile. Even though he was so busy and was managing everyone, he literally poured me some tea and give to me because he was so happy I came again.
It has such a warm, lovely atmosphere and everyone was working so hard but still they treated you with so much respect and consideration. The food was SO SO GOOD!! I ordered the beef koobideh kebob and it was so juicy and flavorful. As an appetizer they serve you fresh, hot bread with mint and butter and I just had such a great time, and I came back the next day for lunch aha! You must try it, it will be worth your while. 🙂

The staff were all so caring and attentive, even though there is so much rush at this restaurant. I regret that I cannot remember everyone’s name, but Hussein, Ali, Sorogh (I hope that is correct!) and the two hispanic gentleman ( one had dimples and the other I believe that his name was Santiago?) whom looked after me with so much care. Take care and wish everyone the best <3

⭐⭐⭐ Shamshiri Grill – Good Kebabs, But the Vibe Was Tense.

My recent visit for dinner left me with mixed feelings. The food, particularly the large kebab plate, was good, but not great—just solid Persian fare.

Unfortunately, the atmosphere was quite distracting. The restaurant is tight, and the staff, especially who I assume was the manager, seemed very tense. He appeared to be yelling at someone (maybe staff or kitchen?) constantly, which made it hard to focus on our meal. The tight seating also meant we could hear everyone else’s conversations easily.

Finally, finding parking was difficult.
If you prioritize standard, decent Persian food above a comfortable dining experience and easy parking, this spot will work.

The Baseline
The Baseline: For a Persian restaurant the kebabs and stews must have the classic Persian flavors, the rice/hummus sides must be well prepared with taste, the ingredients must be fresh, and the dining experience must be enjoyable.

Food: The lunch specials here are fantastic and feed you well. I got the Koobideh Platter and the beef skewer was delicious. The grilled tomato and onion really accompanied the meat. I opted for the green salad and lentil soup for starters which really kicked off the meal. I forgot to ask for the garlic sauce but I was told this is a must have next time.

Service: We had a great waitress when we visited. She was friendly, efficient, and accommodating to a bunch of different orders. Great service. Water glasses always filled.

Ambiance: Shamshiri looks like a Persian restaurant. Main points is that the table layouts were well spaced and maximized service flow. Clean restroom.

Shamshiri Grill delivers an outstanding experience. The Persian food was amazing, full of flavor and beautifully prepared, and the service was excellent from start to finish. The restaurant was packed, yet very well managed, with great energy and incredible aromas throughout the space. Everything flowed smoothly despite how busy it was. A wonderful experience overall, and we will absolutely be back. I highly recommend Shamshiri Grill.

Just delicious! Went with pescatarian friends and it was still so absurdly tasty. Made me so happy.

Good Persian food, and the portions are huge, so expect to leave with leftovers. The ambiance is a cozy and welcoming vibe. The Shirin polo doesn’t look that great when you first see it, but it’s tasty. The koobideh was my favorite, with an ice cold glass of doogh (yogurt drink). Service is also good.

This restaurant was my favorite in all West Los Angeles, today was my last visit and what made me change my mind and give a chance to other restaurants is that the quality on the food was not the same: distasteful, lacking of seasonings. I didn’t mentioned this to the manager who’s very nice gentleman, I mentioned it to the server but he was like: “Oh well, deal with it!” He told us that lunch menu was not available at all.
He made me feel like I was getting the food for free and it’s not the case. I explained that it was my mom’s bday but not like other restaurants that sing the happy Birthday and give a slice of something. The tip is not the amount I selected so I have to take care of it. I’m including a picture of the undercooked chicken, at that point, we had already ordered more food. My mom is disabled and she is now 84, it was a nightmare to find a parking spot, I decided to check in the alley and a woman from next door business came out so rude and nasty to tell me that it was not Shamshiri Grill restaurant parking lot. Well it was a long drive since there are not persian restaurants in the area where we live and at the same time a really sour experience, so I no longer recommend to spend money on this place anymore.

Very disappointed by the food specifically, We got one of the famous Persian meal( koobideh) that texture and taste was very basic for this price, this kind of food must be half the price with this low quality, with all respect to hard working staff, mexican staff and cook for Persian cuisine ????? Really ???? They wanted us to leave the place as soon as possible , they brought us boxes to pack our food at the middle of it and before we ask for the bill they just put it on the table. Very disappointed and never go back again

Our go-to restaurant for persian food whenever in LA. Love their kabobs. The portions are also huge so one dish is usually sufficient for two.
