Shamrock Pub is a family friendly establishment, mainly known for its chargrilled burgers. So much so, the burgers are often hailed as the best in Macomb County. Its ambiance is more updated than the average pub, and outdoor seating is available during the warmer months.
The menu here is concise. However, a wide array of options isn’t necessary, as the majority of Shamrock’s clientele come here for the burgers. For instance, I recently dined in, and noticed just one sandwich come out of kitchen that wasn’t a burger. I also, unfortunately, noticed that all the buns get microwaved prior to serving. This wouldn’t have bothered me, but the buns were still in the plastic bag they came in.
As for the burger, it’s definitely good, but frankly, it’s overrated. It’s enjoyable, but there’s plenty of bars out there serving comparable burgers. The portion size of the French fries is generous. Similar to the burger though, the fries are worth getting, but are nothing to write home about.
If you prefer a simple and affordable burger, you’ll absolutely love Shamrock. On the flip side, the burger is not in the same league as Bronx Bar, Grey Ghost, Redcoat Tavern, etc. As a whole, what makes Shamrock such a desirable spot is how fairly priced the menu is.

First time here. Been hearing about this place on fb etc for a long time. Lots of parking on street and parking lot. They have outdoor patio seating as well. Got seated right away. Waitress kinda short abrupt not really friendly. My coke completely flat. Mozzarella sticks came out fast. But no plates. Plastic forks. No marinara. Usually they ask if you want ranch marinara etc. Sticks were fine.
Ordered burger and fries. Paper plates which were soggy. Soggy bun, too. Never filled my drink. The “seasoned” fries are salt and pepper.
Had to ask for a refill on my drink. Burger okay fries ok. final eval, its BASIC.
Bartender was great. Good personality friendly. Came to check on us frequently.

Anyone giving less than 5 stars must be some vegan weirdo. Shamrock has the BEST burgers around! It’s a simple menu, with great service, and fair prices. Sooooooo good!

The burger was cooked perfectly. We asked for seasoned fries I was expecting something a little more exciting than just salt and pepper. Don’t waste the extra dollar you can do it yourself. I only ate half my burger and I wanted to take the rest home but they didn’t have any carry out containers. I can imagine all the food wasted tonight and all the hard earned money spent on food that patrons couldn’t take home as a result, and enjoy later. Instead it will all be thrown out behind the bar at the end of the night after paying full price for it. That’s a shame. There’s a GFS right up the road. Maybe should have sent someone up there to buy containers before the dinner rush? I also didn’t like the lighting. Way to bright for a bar/grille and there were a bunch of kids there. Loud as well. On a good note, service was really good.

Great burger deal. Super tasty and only $5. Seasoned fries were delicious as well. They say you can share an order of fries between two people easily and I believe them. Kinda small but I really love the place. Even has a cool little patio. Kitchen is open so you can see everything being made

Since when did their prices jump so high?? Burgers went from 5.95-9.50 and fries from 2.50-4.75? That’s ridiculous. Their service was horrible, I had to keep getting up to ask for silverware or refill on our drinks, the restaurant was basically empty, only 3 tables. I was wondering why they weren’t busy, now I know why. We also sat toward the back, can see them cooking. The guy on the grill had only one glove on and was on his phone with the bare hand, then he was getting cheese with that bare hand and also went out to smoke. Never again.
