I ordered the full Iftar menu from Shalimar and, as always, everything was absolutely wonderful. The spread included pakoras, samosas, fruit chaat, chicken karahi, chana, nihari, kababs, gajar ka halwa, kheer, and fresh naan — and every single item was flavorful and perfectly prepared.
The pakoras and samosas were crispy and fresh, the fruit chaat was refreshing, and the chicken karahi and nihari were rich and full of authentic taste. The kababs were tender and well-seasoned, and the naan was soft and served warm. To top it off, the gajar ka halwa and kheer were the perfect sweet ending to a fantastic meal.
Shalimar never disappoints — consistent quality, authentic flavors, and generous portions every time. Highly recommended, especially for Iftar!

Visited Shalimar Kabab House, Lawrenceville for the first time. The restaurant was very busy when we arrived, but as first-time customers we were a bit confused about the ordering and seating process. We stood at the entrance for a few minutes and didn’t receive any guidance, so we had to observe others to understand that it’s counter ordering and self-seating.
We ordered chicken bone-in karhai , paneer karhai , plain naan, butter naan, garlic naan, chicken biryani, and a mango milkshake. The food was decent but not outstanding — both karhai had a strong tomato flavor that overpowered the dishes. The biryani was okay, and the mango milkshake was good.
Overall, the experience was average, mainly due to the lack of guidance and okay-ish food. We may visit again to try their popular or recommended dishes

Don’t let the location fool you. This is some of the best Indian quisine I’ve ever eaten. If you like tomato based stews, the lamb Tikka Masala has a nice creamy tomato base, seasoned just right. Now, if you like spicy, the Lamb Korma is the way to go, and is also seasoned perfectly. Very friendly customer service if you’re not sure what to order. The portions are big. So depending on how hungry you are, you’ll definitely have enough to take for lunch the next day. Oh, and don’t forget the Naan, which pairs perfectly with both the Korma and Masala.

Our server was super friendly and really nice, which made a great first impression. We ordered chicken karahi, dal gosht, Naan and chapli kabab. Everything came with salad, and raita and honestly, the food hit the spot. Flavorful, comforting, and just what we needed after a long day.
I was hesitant to use the restroom (thanks to those scary reviews), but to my surprise, it was clean and nicely updated.
All in all, a solid experience. Happy mood, happy soul.

Absolutely delicious! I recently had Shalimar Kabob House at a wedding, and every single dish was amazing, fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. You could really taste the quality and care that goes into their food.
Their buffet is also one of my favorites. everything tastes just as good as if it were made to order. I especially love their fried chicken, chicken 65, kabobs, and karahi- each one packed with authentic flavor and spice. Shalimar Kabob House never disappoints! Had to drop a review, this place is hands down one of the BEST spot for Halal and South Asian/Indian food near me! When you go, do it like this, starter with Chicken 65, then get the Mix Grill Sizzler, Kebob Tikka Masala, Goat Karahi with Bullet Naan, and finish it off with the AMAZING mango LASSI it’s fire, trust me! I force myself to stop at just one. And if you’re like me a fried chicken person, theirs legit one of the BEST fried chicken in metro Atlanta region!

I absolutely LOVE THIS PLACE!! I try very hard to make it to the Sunday buffet but I live 2 hours away and for various reasons I can’t get here before 3pm. I always end up with goat or lamb karhai, biryani, garlic naan and I alternate on a vegetable option. Today I had the best virgin mojito. I highly recommend it!! The service is always great! Excellent portions all at decent prices. They are 5+ stars!!

No frills restaurant, but Excellent food! Had their butter chicken (slightly spicy), SO had their mango chicken curry (very very slightly sweet but good mango flavor). Basmati rice portion enough for two, as well as their naan breads. Really impressed with flavors. Very authentic. Can’t wait to try another dish. Approximately $40-50 for two.
