My wife and I visit near monthly. Their “pizza lovers passion” in 8-inch size is the perfect compromise for two people who love pizza, but can’t agree on toppings. We usually sneak in early (before 5pm) to avoid the chaos. Pizza is always constantly fantastic, and staff at this location is always friendly. It’s an excellent way to get the “Shakes” experience without having to deal with the Downtown “All That.”

Good pizza. A bit on the greasier side unfortunately and not the best pizza I’ve had in CoMo. The garlic bread was also pretty average. Definitely best to eat it as soon as you get it before the cheese cools down!
The place itself lends to good get-togethers for meetings, work places, and social events. I’d imagine the place is also quite lively on game days as well.
Very popular pizza place among college students and Columbia locals. Good to try at least once! In my opinion, the vibes and the people you come with are truly what make Shakespeare’s a cornerstone of Columbia food and culture.

Local friends in the St Louis area told us about Shakespeare’s Pizza in Columbia, MO. We were traveling back from Kansas City and decided to try dining there. It did not disappoint. We liked their style of serving where the customer ordered on entry and retrieved when called. This style eliminates conflicts between customer and wait staff. The food was excellent also. It’s definitely a “do-over.”

Great service and great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Clean restrooms. Small booths. Great tasting pizza. Veggies were quite chunky, almost like they weren’t done chopping them up. No pricing on the wall where it shows everything they have to offer. Build your own pizza ended up costing over 50.00 for one pizza. Drove 2 hours for this pizza.

We always have a great experience here. The food is fresh, the quality is good and for it being pizza, it doesn’t take long to arrive. We always have 10+ people with us and the price isn’t crazy to feed us all. Will always keep Shakespeare’s Pizza in our rotation.

What a fun place and the pizza is full of memories…..college memories, I think . Great pizza and good spot to eat it.

The pizza was okay. The toppings and cheese were fresh and delicious, but neither of us were a fan of the crust. The crust was flavorless and oddly hard/dry.
The service was interesting. You order at the counter and then… do everything else yourself – fetch your pizza, pick up your sides/salads, fill your drinks, and bus your table. Yet, when you order you’re still prompted to tip? ♂️
Overall, it was a decent experience but we were not impressed by the pizza itself.

My school had a social night here and I love the concept and uniqueness of the place. The pizza is very tasty and I love the freshness of the veggies. However it was a 45 mins wait for the food. I believe since they knew an event was happening at a fixed time, they should have been more prepared. Nevertheless, I will recommend and visit again.

One of three locations in Columbia. Each location the crust of pizza slightly different due to oven at the location but this location was inviting, clean and had a delicious pizza as always. Bar served whatever you desired on tap and cider varieties great! Will always return and bring visitors to enjoy too. 9/26/25.

Our go-to pizza place. I love that they provide dough balls to kids. It’s easy for a big family or group to eat here. The water from the drink fountain even tastes great – I don’t normally say that about water from restaurants.
