We arrived at the place on a Wednesday afternoon, around 12:00 o’clock. There were four of us, and thankfully, it wasn’t very crowded. We had quite a few different seating options available, and the overall atmosphere was quite peaceful and quiet. We simply spent some time catching up with each other. We did not have to wait long for the waitress. She came back out with our drinks, and then she came back again to take our orders, which didn’t take very long at all. The food that arrived was juicy and incredibly hot, and it tasted absolutely delicious. We shared the Portobello sandwich, and the other person ordered the Mahi Mahi sandwich, along with a side of onion rings. The overall atmosphere of the place was very comfortable and really relaxing.

Honest review I didn’t like this place. Not sure why people recommend this place. The prices on the online menu were about 1-2 dollers less than the real in person menu. The food wasn’t good. I ordered a well done burger and the meat was way over cooked. Not well done but burned like a hockey puck. The bun was thick and tough. I saw several plates going back with uneaten buns. I don’t see a point in going back here.

Such a unique find! The place is on the smaller side and has a darker vibe inside. The menu has so many delicious options, I really struggled with what to get. I settled on their famous fish and chips, and very thankful I did! It was so good! They have a ton of unique burgers and chicken sandwiches that I will definitely be back for. This place is a gastropub, so they dont have ‘regular’ beer options…but the selection was wide for choosing.

I’m a “foodie” as well as a food quality, service, and ambience snob. I’m not particularly wealthy but particular when I can afford to dine out. I can afford to go out about once a week and choose this restaurant for a number of reasons.
Shakespeare’s offers dishes made of impressively fresh ingredients, and I’m not exaggerating when I’m say the veggies on any burger are as if they just picked them out back.
Fish and chips or the best burgers in Sarasota are here. Also standard English fare.
The crowd here is a mix of international visitors and long time residents, very receptive crowd of people.
I look forward to coming here weekly and expect many others feel the same.

Love the pub atmosphere and the food even more! Thoroughly enjoyed the blue cheese chips app and the British burger. If you can’t tell, so roll on blue cheese! Good beer selection and some craft on rotation. Excited to come back

The shepherd’s pie is really good. However, when ordered as a takeout or delivery they put it in a styrofoam container and it is so hot it melts the styrofoam. Repeatedly asked for foil to be put down first which they hardly ever will do. Eating melted styrofoam can’t be healthy wish they would take this simple precaution to protect their customers and preserve the Integrity of their food.

A really fun place to stop in for beer and food. They have a wide variety of burgers and sandwiches. We stuck with the more traditional entrees ordering fish n’ chips, pasties, and sausage rolls. Everything tasted great, and we had food to take home.

The food was amazing! My friend had a British burger and fries. My daughter had a build your own burger and fries, and I had a blackend chicken teaser salad. We all loved what we got. The serving size was enough to take half home each. The price was right!

It’s cooked perfectly, it’s top great beef, and the french fries are crispy and delicious. They’re very consistent, taking it top honors here after year.
It’s a treat for me, but I love it.
Their servers are friendly and efficient, and they have outdoor seating, which is always very pleasant.
