My son wanted to eat lunch at Shake Shack while walking around downtown Walnut Creek. I noticed they have “French Onion Soup” type of burgers now. My son and wife got the French Onion Stack Burger and I got the French Onion Shroom (Portobello) Burger. The Shroom burger consisted of a deep fried portobello mushroom with cheese. When biting into it, you get a satisfying cheese pull. My wife and son like the burger, but the patty can be a little thicker (recommend getting the double or triple patty). We got the Mango Passionade for our drinks which was pleasant. Now they offer the option of adding mini boba to the drink. You place your order through one of their 4 kiosks, not sure if you can order from a person, but I didn’t see a way to. You grab a number and your order will be delivered to you. They also text you when your order is ready as well. They have seating downstairs and upstairs. The restroom is upstairs, but they do have an elevator if you have difficulty climbing stairs. They are a good alternative to other fast food chain restaurants.

I love shake shack! The burgers here are very tasty and better than five guys for sure. I really like the patties, great flavor, cheesy and the buns are super soft. I enjoyed the vanilla milk shake, It tastes great. I also ordered the chicken shack and that was also very delicious. Everything came up to 36$ for all that food and worth it. I got my food within 10 minutes on a busy saturday, not bad and I love how they nicely bring your order to you. The parking lot is very small just a heads up. Great burgers and I will be back!

After several more visits since my initial review, I’ve seen significant improvements. Service at the front counter has significantly improved, prompting me to raise my overall rating from 2 to 4 stars. Also, I’ve updated the atmosphere from 1 to 3 stars. Most notably, overall service quality has greatly improved, earning a solid 4 stars.
For fast-casual burgers, fries, and shakes, Shake Shack is a great option. I’ll continue to consider the Shack when craving a burger!

Premium food prices should go hand in hand with great food and great service. The food is great, I have enjoyed my burgers and fries at Shake Shack.
The service is definitely not great. Whoever trains the staff needs to earn their paycheck. Perhaps even send new employees to In-N-Out just to see what amazing service looks like.
I have found staff at the counter to be dismissive. You are made to feel unwelcome or like a bother. One time, I patiently waited at the counter for minutes while two workers messed with a register, but unfortunately, there was no acknowledgment, eye contact, or assurance of being helped shortly.
My last order was takeout, and the person at the counter again was somewhat dismissive and they seemed like they didn’t want to be there.
Service is part of the atmosphere experience too. The counter is just as important as where I sit. I receive better service at Jack in the Box. Is this right?
What’s more, getting the wrong order once isn’t usually a big deal, but when considering everything else, it becomes more significant.
I live walking distance from Shake Shack. I go on occasion but after a subpar experience on multiple occasions that don’t match the premium prices, it is a last option. I can also walk to Gott’s Roadside for a burger or even Habit Burger for the sake of being a satisfied customer.

I don’t get the low average score. While I must agree the food is deadly, filled with fat and cholesterol, it tasted really good today. The burger was perfectly cooked. The fries I asked for extra crispy, and they were. Service was fast and friendly. The dining room was clean and comfortable.

New and beautiful. Not a lot of parking but it’s worth looking for one in my opinion. The food is great at any location. Customer service was top tier , the atmosphere is welcoming. They have an upstairs dining area that I will make my go to eating spot when dining in. I would also like to commend them on when they are busy with dine ins. Their takeout orders are just as well put together and well cooked as their dining orders.

Three in our party. A small parking lot. At lunch on a Friday, we found seating no problem. While we were eating, we noticed a second level dining area. After ordering at a kiosk, you take a number placard and enter the number with your order. Our order arrived quickly. Do NOT order the BLT. It was goopy, too much “sauce”. The bacon was very thin and wilted. The crinkle fries were good! I will not be returning.

It was our first time here.
The food was good. It was $24 for one person.
Cheese & bacon fries, double burger & large soda. Their shakes were ….out of order- heart broken.
The restaurant was cold (temperature) the tables were…needing to be cleaned.
Bathroom was out of paper towels.
When my food was done, they texted to tell me it was done then stood around. When I got my bag, they forgot my drink & as I stood there, I was asked if I needed anything – well the rest of my order. It was ready, just not provided.
The burger was delicious. I wish I could’ve added avocado to the burger I got. The orders were placed using the kiosk.
A solid 3. Might’ve been a 4 if their name sake was able to be enjoyed. I’d try it again.

They didn’t have shakes! The floors beneath the booths and the both tables were dirty, the food was expensive (but so was everything else in the area), and the whole reason I even went there – to get a milkshake on a hot day – was moot as they couldn’t make any. Luckily, the location redeemed itself by being incredibly convenient, had delicious food, and portions that were larger than what I’d expect for the area.
Ordering was fine, order pickup was fine, I just wanted my milkshake.
