I got the avocado beef burger and the cheese bacon fries and everything was fantastic. The burger was so good I literally forgot how to speak for a second. The one dollar drink was a great deal too. The food was delicious, the prices were great, and I am already excited to come back.

We stopped by Shake Shack at the Mall of America for a meal, and it was a bit of a mixed experience.
Black Truffle Shack Stack – Too oily, didn’t like it much. 5/10
Black Truffle Burger – The star of the meal! 10/10
Smoke Shack – First time trying chopped cherry peppers in a burger, and it was delicious. 10/10
Chicken Shack – Good, but nothing special. 7/10
Fries with Truffle Sauce – The sauce was good, but the fries had a bitter aftertaste from bad oil. Really disappointing. 0/10
Overall, we still had a great time, but I’d be picky with what to order next time!

I’ve never had a good experience at this location. After boycotting it for a year, I figured I’d try it again. I ordered, was given a # to set on the table for them to bring out my food. Someone came over with the wrong food, then took it away (and eventually gave it to the correct person after it had been at my table). Due to this I was on the lookout for my food. Something that appeared to be my food was given to a different table. The person it was given to looked confused and the employee walked away. A few mins later the employee came back with a different meal and dropped it off at that table and took away the incorrect meal. That employee then walked to my table and gave me the meal that had been at someone else’s table. I pointed it out to the employee and he told me that that was not true. I pushed back and pointed to the table it was at and mentioned how he had just walked from that table after switching out meals. He looked sheepish but didn’t want to admit anything. I asked them to remake it because, to me, I shouldn’t be eating food that’s been at someone else’s table where they could’ve touched it or put stuff in it. He took the meal away and set it back on the counter for another server to bring out (note: not remaking it). A few mins later another employee tries to bring me the same meal and I asked if they had remade the meal and he said no. I then explained how I wasn’t comfortable eating food that had been on someone else’s table. He finally agreed to remake it. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO FIGHT TO GET THE CORRECT FOOD. NOR SHOULD I HAVE BEEN GIVEN FOOD THAT HAD BEEN ON SOMEONE ELSES TABLE FOR MINUTES!!! Pretty sure that’s a huge health violation. A complaint has been filed with the Minnesota Department of Health. Stay away from this location

I just want to comment on an older lady that brought my food on March 4, around 2 p.m. She was incredibly warm and friendly and had a huge smile on her face both times I interacted with her. I felt she really cared about my experience! My burger was a little undercooked, which is odd for a smash patty, but it was still good.

I really enjoy the burgers, but they are very small for the price. They might be the smallest in all of fast food. Despite this, the staff was very nice, ordering was easy, and the location was accommodating, especially for seating. While I do enjoy the burgers, the steep price for their size is a downside.

$27.54 for this meal and it was absolutely ridiculous.
Garlic aioli : only filled halfway in a tiny plastic cup.
French onion soup burger : bland, with barely any onion flavor.
Parmesan garlic fries : just regular fries with a sad sprinkle of parmesan.
Mango lemonade with popping raspberry boba : just okay, but the mango flavor was weak and the amount of boba pearls was laughable.
On top of that, if you want a receipt, you can’t get a simple paper one—you have to hand over your email or phone number for a digital receipt (no thanks, I don’t want spam).
And they falsely advertise that your order will be brought out to your table. In reality, they just leave it up front by the kitchen, and you have to get up and grab it yourself.
For nearly $30, this experience was disappointing across the board.

The chicken smelled unbelievably good. Felt a little bland after a few bites but very filling. I felt the meal was very pricy for the size of the servings but not too bad. The vibe of the environment was great with nice music playing and a bustling atmosphere, not too loud though. The servers bring the food to you and the order time and service speed was quick.

This was our first time at Shake Shack and we will definitely be back. It’s on the same level as In-N-Out or Culver’s and we thought it definitely hit the spot. The Shack burger was a classic cheeseburger that anyone would love, seasoned very well and greasy in a good way. The Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich was very good too. The sauce it was drenched in was very savory and sweet with a bright, refreshing coleslaw on top.

Ordered food at kiosk and friendly staff brought our food to the table for us. Food was absolutely delicious and fresh, hands down best crinkle fries I’ve ever eaten (usually crinkles are worst fries ever in my opinion). The Carolina BBQ burger was banging with flavor and juiciness which is all I could ever ask for. Would definitely eat here again at MOA.
