This place is great for quality over quantity. Sure, the hamburgers are a bit pricey for their size, but I’ve never eaten a loaded hamburger from them and left unsatisfied. In my opinion, I think the burgers are worth it.
The fries are really good when you eat them fresh, and their chicken doesn’t contain any antibiotics. I’ve had their chicken sandwich and nuggets, and I liked both. But their main star is their hamburgers. I love their crispy onion straws, which they put on their burgers. Perfect balance!
Lastly, their shakes. In my opinion, their shakes are among the best in Charlotte for innovation and richness at the price. They’re not just giving you frozen ice cream in a cup. They are actually making something drinkable with ice cream, and they have seasonal flavors that insert fillings inside them, like brownies and other stuff.
Their customer service is great and very accommodating. I’ve never had a problem with them ever. You can order food on the kiosk or go up to them directly, and they’ll take your order without any hassle. One of their biggest strengths is their continued experimentation with the menu, which keeps the customer experience from becoming stagnant. There’s always something new to look forward to trying every season, and they are surprisingly good for whatever they are.
But hey, don’t take my word for it, try them yourself!
Chili was greasy on this visit. Mayo was included in the Summer burger offering with fried pickles last visit. Totally didn’t say that via the write up … Just Carolina BBQ type sauce. Alas, allergic reaction.
Service was top notch lastest visit.
1st visit = ginger ale was flat and tasteless.
2nd visit = Quality Coke.
Restaurant cleaner than before but several tables needed attention. I’m hoping the manager with the long beard has a beard net and wears it while in the kitchen even when passing through as he didn’t upon my first visit with the Summer Burger.

I had the shroom burger, cheese fries and I tried the Dubai Chocolate Shake, after seeing mixed reviews and I thought it was great! I tasted the banana pudding shake which was also delicious.
One thing they could have done better on is the lettuce and tomatoes on the hamburger were only on half of it so apparently it was slipped into the paper wrapper and they just shoved it in the front and it was still good but you could tell they did in a hurry and weren’t exactly careful.
We are mostly organic eaters at home. We did our research on Shake Shack & trust it because the beef is 100% hormone free & no antibiotics ever! Did you know that the complimentary water over near the condiments is “triple filtered?” I’m a researcher in a Master of Science program, let me tell you….No where else can you find that! That’s pure!
On to the food:
I ordered the Shack burger, and my husband went with the Smoke Shack with the bacon and we also added the cheesy fries with bacon, a regular fries and two vanilla milkshakes to go! Everything was so tasty! If you are headed to Birkdale- GPS it to Shake Shack first & then walk it off on the other side of Sam Furr.
You will enjoy the food and the service. They aim to please at Shake Shack!
PS
We need to come back and try the new Korean Style Fried Chicken!
