Mid at best.
This is the first time I’ve been to shake shack. I seriously doubt I will be back. I ordered a double cheeseburger, a double avocado bacon burger, cheese fries, and a coffee shake.
I put my order in, walk straight to the restroom for a quick piss and by the time I washed my hands and got back out there, my order was ready. That means they have everything pre-cooked and staged.
The beef was flavorless, the bacon was thin and lifeless, the avocado was just there. The best item, and that’s a stretch, where are the cheese fries. Even 7-Eleven has better melty cheese. For some reason, I expected to have quality served to me. I built up shake shack in my mind over the years and I thought there would be a better product. All it takes is a couple grams of sodium citrate and shmp add to cheese and whole milk to make the best melty cheese you’ve ever had. But shake shack couldn’t even get that right. Oh I almost forgot. The coffee shake was just bitter. It wasn’t particularly sweet or coffee flavored, just bitter. I kind of hoped for a bit of a mocha, but even that was pretty damn sad.
You’re not going to score high in service when it’s tablet that I put my order into.
I will say that the place looked pretty. Industrial, but pretty.

“For what its worth” and this is the lettuce that was put on my bunless burger. Could you not have used an even more wilted, slimy piece? Lettuce is probably the cheapest part of my $13 burger. I am disgusted. I should have listened to the reviews. Food was over salted and cold.

we placed our order through the app because there were deals that were available that weren’t available in the store and the workers were super cool about it they just put it on a tray for us rather than bag it up. I felt kind of bad for him you could tell this happened a lot and some customers weren’t as friendly about it.
anyway fries were great chicken sandwich was great my son thought the smokestack burger was too spicy and I was actually surprised it had a lot of heat to it and it really snuck up on you.
Make sure you check the app because my chicken sandwich was free what would’ve been roughly $30 ended up being $20 with tip.

So absolutely over priced. Save your money and go across the street and get 5 guys. I literally went online and checked and for the exact same meal it would have been 20$ less and you’d have gotten more food. Mediocre food at top dollar. Cheese fries (more like chemical fries) were soggy bland and from an elementary cafeteria. Just don’t bother.

The place is very overpriced considering the quality of the food they serve. I tried the double bacon cheeseburger, while my friend had the French onion soup burger. Both burgers were soggy, and the signature sauce they use clashes with the flavor of the burger itself. The French onion soup burger only tasted of soggy onions, and overall, the food was terrible. We also ordered chicken bites, which were fried in used oil, overly salty, and soggy as well. The fries were neither crunchy nor flavorful, and you couldn’t really taste any of the toppings. To make matters worse, the lemonades had an aftertaste of microplastics. At this point, I’d say McDonald’s is a better option.

Had lunch around 1 pm on a Friday. It was busy and loud. (Loud music and conversations due to the loud music). We had a short wait to use the kiosk to order. We were able to find a table. There is outside dining available too. I feel like our wait for our lunch was reasonable due to it being a busy lunch hour. I had the avocado bacon cheeseburger with crinkle fries. The crinkle fries had a sweet taste to them and the burger was delicious. We ordered the bacon cheese fries to share, the cheese sauce tasted similar to gravy, it was yummy. My son had a strawberry shake, he said a different restaurant had a better shake. Our food was brought to us at our table. The staff we encountered was pleasant and nice.

I ordered the grill cheese sandwich and a chocolate shake.
See attached photos of the grilled cheese. The sandwich appeared to be smashed (in order to cook?) and what appears to be fragments from another sandwich stuck to the top. Although I only ordered one. No the grilled cheese did not taste good. It was cold and had a chemical taste. I assume the non stick they use perhaps.
Also if you are looking for a mild chocolate shake I suggest you order their vanilla with the chocolate syrup. As their chocolate shake is extremely rich with chocolate custard and chocolate sauce.

Burger was quite good. Chicken sandwich was even better than the burger, but too salty. Chocolate malt shake was very good. Fries are ok, at least they’re not coated with dreadful, seasoned batter like a lot of places these days. Atmosphere was OK, pretty loud on a Friday night. Service was friendly, but they don’t have to do much. Loved the generous outdoor dining areas. Prices are unreasonably high for what you get.

The shack burger with added crispy onions was delicious. The spicy fries was too spicy for me maybe because it had a lot of seasoning but it was still good dipped in ranch dressing. It was convenient using the kiosk to place an order and didn’t encounter any issues.
I came in before the lunch crowd so I didn’t wait too long to get my food. The place is clean.
11/17/23 Tried the chicken shack and it was very tasty. I like the convenience of ordering using the kiosk. Service was good but it was hard to find a parking space because it was around lunch time.

It was our first time there and we liked it! It’s a counter service restaurant where you order your food by yourself on a monitor and then take a number and bring it to your seat. They bring out the food to you, if they can find your number lol. The girl who brought out our food walked around the entire place even though our number was front and center.
The burgers are pretty spendy, around $12/$13 a burger, but it was pretty good. The Strawberry milkshake was good. I sort of thought they would have more milkshake options considering their name. Also, what is a “black and white” flavored milkshake? There wasn’t a description, and there’s already a chocolate/vanilla and cookies and cream option.
