What an amazing place! The food, service and atmosphere were great. I liked how there was somethings to do while you waited like chess and even an arcade machine definitely helped the nice atmosphere. My burger and fries were so delicious. I also loved the attention to detail with the branding on the burger buns very nice touch. And my shake was so good. I will definitely be back.

Easily the worst fries I have ever had in my life,and I’ve had fries at a gas station at midnight. These were barely if at all cooked,soft white gross. The “toppings” were barely there for the price especially. The burger was ok? But nothing special and not seasoned well. My son enjoyed his hotdog at least,wife said the ham and cheese basically tasted like Wonder bread and cheap cold cuts.
For the prices this place charges I’d expect a lot better,to be frank I expect better food than this on dollar menus. Very unlikely I’d ever return and easily my least favorite local bite so far. The milkshakes are at least solid,otherwise this would have been 1/5 stars. Honestly at these prices go anywhere else,unless it’s just for the milkshakes.

I had a great experience at shake n dog. The food was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The hot dogs were loaded and well cooked, and the shakes were thick and delicious. The staff was friendly and the service was quick, even though the place was busy. Overall, it’s a solid spot for comfort food, and I am definitely come back again.

A very interesting menu. The hot dogs are the headliners of course and there are some unique options. I had the Hawaiian dog with onions, pineapple, and BBQ sauce. Delicious. I want to try a burger next time. A lot of things to try. The atmosphere was cool BTW. A fun look. More than you expect.

Had a great meal. I had the Carolina dog and it was fantastic. My daughter had a burger and was prepared exactly to her liking as her order gets screwed up at a lot of other places. The coconut shake was delicious. We visited a few years ago and the food has improved

Was getting my car serviced nearby, and this was recommended to me when I mentioned that I’d like to grab lunch while I wait for my car. This a great spot! Everything tasted fresh and high quality. Directly behind the restaurant is an entrance to a nice trail where you can grab a bench and enjoy your hot dogs. I will definitely be back !

When I rate establishments, it isn’t about any singular thing that warrants stars. It’s about a blended experience. Shake N Dogs has checker board place mats at each table. I love checkers, but even if I didn’t, it gives you something to do while you wait for your food if you are with someone else. The service is friendly, respectful, and efficient. The food is brought out to your table. Presentation is clearly given more than a second thought. The shakes are visually appealing as well as tasty. The hot dogs are good with buns that are fluffy and toasted. The buns are branded with the name of the establishment; one of those details they paid extra attention to. The fries came in these little baskets that look like mini friolator baskets you would drop the fries in. That’s original. The place was clean and welcoming. I could tell from just the one visit that this is a place people choose for a quick lunch stop if they work in the area. I would definitely go back. I just don’t live or work in the area. If I’m passing through again, I plan on going back with the kids. Check them out if you’re in Fitchburg and like shakes or hot dogs. They also have other food items on the menu, a little something for everyone. Enjoy the pics!

This place is awesome! I love the whole retro relaxed atmosphere which makes eating here a very fun and pleasant experience. The food overall was great, absolutely love the fries! There was a good selection of milkshakes to choose from which made it a bit hard for me since I’m such a sweet tooth. I ended up choosing the Chocolate Lovers’ which I now kind of regret because no other shake will ever be able to compare. After hours of drinking it, I can’t stop thinking about it. This is a place I will definitely come back to.

Wow!! The owner and employees make this place, have an amazing atmosphere. The food was tasty. I recommend the Boston city dog which I believe to be homemade beans on top with onions, relish and mustard.. just the right amount of a little fry on the side. The milk shakes are very good I would say a small is the perfect size. Beautiful decor inside along the walls to the restroom and well of course the restroom looked nice with decor in it as well. This place is cleaned after every guest as well before someone sits. I liked seeing this. You must try this place I will be back myself.

Would recommend! Plan on coming back next time we are in the area. I got a hot dog with cheese sauce and bacon. We also got the veggie burger, California burger, and grilled chicken quesadilla, and mochalicious shake. All were super great! The buns were so soft, the fries were warm and crispy. We’ve already discussed what else we want to try next time.
