Delicious; a must crave! Worth the drive for folks traveling. I live a couple blocks away so I take out-never dined in. Take out is great-timely, looks like the same portions as dining in and properly packaged.

We had a great breakfast. The Shaka potatoes are really good. The pancake was thick and delicious. The biscuit and gravy was good. The caramel mocha I got was really good. The loco moco was not the best. But not sure if it was traditional.

LOVE this place! We found it from Uber eats at first and thought, if its this good delivered, it must be amazing in person. So we went today and let me tell you, they did not disappoint…not only was the food suburb, they were also so accommodating. My daughter is having stomach issues, so she could only have specific items off the menu and tiny amounts at a time. The waitress came up with the idea to just put some of our food on a separate plate and if she wanted more potatoes she would grab her some off the griddle(no charge). THEN….I ordered a Carmel latte, it came beautifully in a large mug. I accidentally dropped the whole tobasco bottle in my mug. Not only did I spill what was left of my latte, but shattered the mug. I felt awful. The waitress assured me that it was not a big deal and cared more about me than the mug. She even went and got me a new latte(in a to go cup for obvious reasons lol). I loved the food, the staff, and the environment all around. New favorite breakfast spot 100% hands down.

I came here with my family of 4 (2 kids 16 & 9 y/o) on a Sunday morning around 11ish thinking it was a Hawaiian brunch spot. It was a packed house, but we were seated right away. This was an “inspired” by Hawaiian theme. The atmosphere is very lively and upbeat in an open and airy space. The hostess was amazing and provided great customer service.

When it came to the food it fell short of our expectations. I ordered the Mochiko Chicken Plate Lunch, my son ordered the pancake, my daughter ordered French toast and my husband ordered The Classic w/ scrambled eggs. The French Toast and Pancake were good. The pancake was huge and (1) order was enough for my hungry growing boy. My husband didn’t enjoy his eggs, he said they were served cold. I’m not sure if his food was sitting on the counter for a while but he didn’t enjoy it. As for my Mochiko Chicken, it came with a cucumber kimchi and a side of rice. The chicken itself lacked flavor—just salt. Dipping it into the shoyu sauce made it overwhelmingly salty, and even pairing it with rice didn’t balance it out. The shoyu really needed a touch of sweetness to cut through the saltiness and bring some balance to the dish. Instead, with salty brined chicken, salty shoyu, and kimchi all on the same plate, the whole meal felt like it should’ve been called the Hypertension Special. The serving size for this plate is very small, it’s not “Hawaiian” size portion, more like an appetizer for us islanders, which is great considering the food profile of this dish.

Overall customer service was amazing and atmosphere was great but food was not of great quality. Unfortunately, we would not be returning.

First impression definitely a old building (we love hole in the wall places) we always find it the best food for the best prices.

However this place was very confusing. We walked in and no one greeted, until someone behind the counter said hi and that’s it. We sat down for a little bit not knowing what to do. Then someone approached and explained that there are two sides to the place. Where we walked in is basically self service. & the other side is full service. We ended up moving to the other side. & were finally handed some menus.

We were expecting a more hawaiian theme food as (I’m hawaiian) and the name of the place is shakabrah. However it’s just regular breakfast place. They did have Loco moco on there but I think that was it.

Hubby: big country breakfast
Me: cowboy hash
Son: the classic with pancake

Overall breakfast was just regular expected I guess. Nothing stood out and the cowboy hash was kind of spicy for me. Which I should of asked or read that it had Chipotle sauce so that was my fault. The portion size was expected for that price. My son did love the pancake though. It was monster size lol. & for $8.50 for one pancake.

Overall experience was just ok. Confusing but ok. Is this a place we’d come back to, prolly not, but I guess for locals it’s a cute diner place or a place where regulars would go.

4/10 recommend.

We have come a few times. We tried table service and counter service. Both are great. The food is delish, the fruit is fresh, and potatoes are their specialty.

OMG, there is no other place like this! The menu is blended with Moroccan influence. The menu was so good I had to decide by inny-minny-miney-moe… seriously. Staff was there the perfect amount. I really enjoyed the ambiance.

We actually come here quite often, The food is consistently good.. The best things on the menu have to be the pancake and the potatoes, But everything else is well worth coming back for, also. Our only complaint is that the staff does not appear happy that we’re here, many times they are apathetic, and sometimes just rude… Then we will come on another day and we will get a server who seems like they’re happy to be here, they’re happy to have customers and they’re happy to serve you..

And we keep coming back because the food outweighs the staff

Got here first thing on a Saturday morning and got great service. There are two sides to the restaurant, one that does “counter service” and the other side is “full service” (a server comes to take your order at the table and brings your food to you).

We opted for full service and the gal who helped us was great. Very patient and asked if we wanted to add additional items to each of our orders. I really appreciated this, because it felt like she was trying to make sure we all got the perfect meal.

She brought everyone a water to the table without us asking. Which I love!

I got the magic shakras and added sausage. It was incredible. So flavorful and rich without being greasy. It was a big enough portion that I had to take leftovers!

Don’t get fooled by the name like we did.  We were looking for a place that served loco moco.  We found this place and saw they opened at 7am.  We were juiced.   Sadly, on this rainy morning we entered it wasn’t a Hawaiian place like we thought.  It’s a breakfast/coffee place.
It was a nice open place with plenty of seating.  It looked like it used to be an auto shop.  They had 2 garage bays that they left, which gave it character.  In one dining area by the register they had a bunch of books,  almost like a library.   It had a pretty cool vibe.
The lady who took my order was super nice and helpful.  I stuck to the order that I had already planned.

I ordered:

1.  Cornbeef hash:   Nice chunks of Cornbeef and the potatoes were delicious

2.  Cowboy hash:  I loved the bbq brisket.  It was tender and chunky.  With the potatoes and eggs it was prefect.

3.  Loco moco:  This isn’t the authentic kind it’s just frozen hamburger patties.  I would recommend skipping this.   I did take the rice and egg and mixed it in with my brisket.   That was a bomb combo.

4.  Pancakes:  For a kids size this was huge.   It looked delicious.

5.  French toast:  2 slices of toast cut in half.  This was the perfect sampler with a side of bacon or sausage.    Perfect sized kids meal.

Overall, it’s a great place for breakfast.  I didn’t take pictures but from the looks of pancake and French toast you can see that was where they shined.  Their main, forte is breakfast and they do it good.
