Arrived at 9:10 pm with no wait and received our food rather quickly. This is important when you have hungry kids and know the restaurant will be closing soon. It was our first time trying this place and everything was delicious.
The Tonkotsu Ramen and its broth was rich and flavorful. The kids chicken katsu serving was larger than most restaurants. There were plenty of options for the whole family to select from. Definitely will be coming back again.

First time trying Shaka Ramen, and it did not disappoint! I think we found our new ramen spot. There are many different options- something for everyone. I also like that they have a kids menu, not a lot of ramen places do. The portions are huge and great for the price. Everything was fresh and delicious.

Almost like a hole-in-the-wall kinda shop, menu is very similar to Da Ichi Ramen but with more variety. Stopped by here for an after work dinner & enjoyed our meal. Parking is EXTREMELY LIMITED and we almost left because of it.

Servers are always friendly & dote on you. Food is really good, I love Ramen & this was closer than driving to Pearl City for Da Ichi. Portions are great! Got the Special Combo with Ramen, adding shrimp katsu and beef fried rice for my side. Was able to sub out the pork fried rice . Oh and they also got chicken wings that are worth it, so yay!

Overall, pretty good place. My katsu shrimp was a bit overcooked and crunchy but the gyoza and chicken katsu confirmed that they’re worth it.

Amazing ramen spot. I’m usually not a huge fan of typical ramen, but here I was absolutely blown away. There’s many different options so you can get what you prefer for broth and toppings. I had the Gyoza ramen with Udon, not sure which exact broth that one has but it was extremely good. Bok choy was fresh and delicious, gyoza were juicy and perfect. Very reasonable prices for a lot of food too. So underrated and underappreciated, please check them out if you’re looking for some great soup.

I came here with two of my girlfriends for a very anticipated late night dinner after a long day. We all liked our food— I ordered the vegetable ramen with miso broth, my friend got the spicy pork ramen, and my other friend got the tonkatsu— the portions were good, price was good, and the service was stellar. They played a small game with me at the end after I paid for the check, where I won a bar of soap & I thought that was so cool and a cute way to end the meal!!!! I would definitely come back here again. One of the few places open late on this side of the island as well!

I have ordered black garlic ramen and found it to be my first time of such taste and it was very good. The place was very clean and the service was great.

Came here for late night ramen, it is the typical franchise type ramen shop.

Honestly the food wasn’t great, compared to the other ramen shops just like this one, I thought they were going to have different things on their menu but alas, it was basically the same as all the other places.

It was pretty empty around 9pm on a Thursday.

We ordered two ramen, zaru soba, and fried rice.

The black garlic ramen was an absolute fail, it had NO flavor, not even garlic flavor. It felt like the soup base was water, and nothing else. The toppings were fine, but because the soup base was terrible, they all tasted like nothing.

We had to season it up, and even then it was only bearable…

The zaru soba was way over cooked, the noodles were pretty mushy, if you know, they should be on the firmer side.

The spicy ramen was alright, thought it was going to be something else, but it wasn’t, the spice level was fine, and the taste was a little better than the garlic ramen.

Fried rice was the same as it is at all places, it was good.

Gyoza was probably the best thing that we ate, coulda had more color on it, but it was the best thing that we had. Overall never coming back here for the food.

The waitress was super sweet and so was the other staff member, which makes me sad not to want to return, but I come for the food first, and service second.

Tried this place on a whim after seeing someone rave about their pork fried rice. Y’all, the pork fried rice is IT. Atmosphere inside is very welcoming, and the staff are really friendly. Try them out!

Not one of my favorite spots, but the portions were really nice for both the main courses and side dishes. The total for 5 people only cost a little over $100, so definitely affordable.

Let’s start with the good. The chicken katsu was ok. The flavor was somewhat consistent and it had a nice crunch to it without it being all breading. The sauce was nice and paired well with it. The garnished cabbage was unnecessary and just looked messy. Now the bad, the ramen. The ramen was not gross by any means, but ramen is supposed to be rich and flavorful and this was anything but that. The toppings were ok, nothing spectacular. There was an excessive amount of lettuce/cabbage in the ramen that gave it an untruthful appearance of being plentiful, it was more so fluff. The broth was very lackluster, it had an almost diluted flavor as though they were trying to be as frugal as possible with the seasonings and then miscalculated how much broth they needed for the day and tried to make up for it by adding water. Wont be back here.

Update: I got halfway through the katsu, and it just had a dirty taste to it, couldn’t finish it.
