Simply an amazing atmosphere here. Staff and owners are the best! You can’t have anything but a great time. Awesome food,drinks, a 7 ft deep pool and live music…you can’t go wrong at Shaka. You’ll want to come back again and again.

The only reason I like to go here is because you can use the pool as long as your a customer. They have live music sometimes. A lot of the locals go here. My daughter likes it more than me. Most of the sun chairs are all ripped up like you’ll fall through if you sit on it. Food and drinks are mediocre. When the life gaurd maryjane is there she is not always the nicest. When her friends come, she’ll tell people not to swim in a certain area because shes giving swim lessons to their kids and then she’ll have toys out but only let her friends kids play with them then yell at other children for trying to play with her toys. Seriously rude when your a paying customer. Enough to run you off..

Group of 5 get there at 7:05pm on today 9/1/24 they report their closing time is 9pm. Go to the bar, bartender ( nice as ever) gives us the menus. We’re sit down at a table. A minute later, the owner(who did not announce himself as such; i eventually realized he had on a company shirt but i was told by an employee that he was the owner) comes over to the table * drunk * and snatches the food menu away saying “ the kitchen is closed” (forcefully) with no explanation but tells us the kitchen is closed but we can drink all we want.. and proceeds to walk away…that’s it.. that was the experience. The bartender did apologize for the situation and the DJ (who is not an employee) also apologized on behalf of the establishment. I don’t want to assume why we specifically were handled in that manner BUT definitely doesn’t make me want to give it another chance.

This was our first time at Shaka and I’m so upset with myself that it has taken us this long. The food, drinks and atmosphere was amazing. The pool was very clean and the perfect size. I would recommend you stop in at this little gem. We will be back!

HORRIBLE!!! We were there about 15 or 20 minutes. We were the only table. We were never approached by the server. She never asked what drinks we wanted. We were told the place is open. The kitchen is open even though it looked deserted!! DON’T EVER BOTHER TRYING IT!!!! A TOTAL WASTE OF TIME!!!

Great new place to visit in west ocean city. Beautiful bar with a pool bar. From the pictures, the hotel rooms look so inviting. Great renovation. Owners and staff were super nice. I’ll be back.
