Food is average . Didn’t feel its fresh except chicken thattukada fry. That was delicious. Chatti choru was good, but food was not hot. Chicken curry was so disgusting, its look like cooked few days ago.

Can’t stress enough that the food was lovely, authentic, and delicious!

However, service was quite sub par – lunch specials weren’t available at lunch time, my order was forgotten and had to be remade, and the inside seating/ambience was pretty empty. Kind of an interesting choice to priotize takeaways orders over patrons dining in… No biggie

VERY BAD FOOD!!!
I went to get some fresh made food here . Ordered Paneer tikka masala and chapati.
Curry looks like only oil is there . All that oil is coming out. Very sad.
I thought Chapati will be good and fresh made but it looks like they crispy packed roti and just heated and gave us. Wow what a food and almost spend 45 bucks with $4 tip for just a bad food. Not going to visit again for sure.

Ordered porotta and beef roast from Shajeela’s and the portions were honestly shocking for the price. The beef roast came in a small container for how expensive it is, the taste was fine but the beef quantity was nowhere close to justified.
The Kerala porotta was not flaky, was just one small piece drenched in oil and didn’t feel substantial at all. Overall, this feels heavily overpriced and disappointing, especially for a place known for Kerala food. Definitely not value for money.

When entering the restaurant I was greeted with colorful photos, representing Kerala and Nova Scotia. I ordered the shrimp biryani and the portions were incredible! Very tasty and delicious when paired with the date pickle! The mango shake was super refreshing and nice for a hot summer day and the egg puffs were a perfect mid afternoon snack- I would highly recommend stopping by and trying authentic Kerala cuisine!

The customer service was terrible. Three of us ordered beef roast for dine-in and chicken biryani as a takeaway, but they gave us beef curry instead of beef roast. We also had to wait almost 40 minutes for the food, and the biryani parcel was not even prepared. Very disappointing experience .I will never go back to this restaurant. The service is extremely poor, with only one lady managing everything. They should add more staff for better operation and customer service.

Best Kerala food in town. Loved everything except Fish Biryani which had a bit of overcooked rice and an abundance of Masala over rice. Must try items are Chatti choru, Kalyana choru, Beef Perattu, Kothu poratta, Faluda. This place is turning out to be the go to place for almost every weekend lunch.

Ever since I got pregnant, my cravings for non veg meals have been off the charts — and honestly, Shajeela’s has become my go-to comfort place. I’ve been eating here or order online once every week (sometimes more, not even sorry ), and it never disappoints!
everything is full of flavor and feels homemade but with that perfect restaurant kick. The portions are generous (which I love, because baby wants seconds!) and the food is always fresh and hot.

Highly recommend!

The best chattichor i have had so far. Plenty of non veg included in a single meal. Each and every side in this chattichor was absolutely flavourful. The snacks are way too authentic. Tasted exactly like നാട്ടിലെ ചായക്കട പലഹാരം.❤️
We asked for pazhampori and beef combo, even though they haven’t had that as combination in their menu. Absolutely delicious everything. Staffs were fantastic.

Visited again this Tuesday just to try the Falooda. Ended up in ordering Chatti chor (my favourite) and chicken biriyani. How could i explain when i saw the ‘actual falooda’ . Last month we had a really disappointing experience from another restaurant with the Falooda. But OMG, the real falooda with lots of fresh fruits. Proper layering. So yummy.

Best Halal South Indian restaurant! I was skeptical at first since I’m not familiar with the cuisine, but the Kalyanachoru completely won me over , absolutely delicious and I’ll definitely order it again. Each dish had a unique flavor, unlike some cuisines where the curry base feels the same. The only small downside was that the meat portion felt a bit less compared to the curry. The chicken samosa was slightly dry, but the beef cutlet was good. Overall, a great experience. All the best to Shajeela’s!
