Very cool place with good food, super low prices and fantastic ice cream. We had fried haddock sandwich, hot dog, chili fries and haddock dippers. Less than $30 and food was very good. Topped it was some of the creamiest ice cream ever. Highly recommend.

Ordering was a breeze, and I got my food quickly. Everything was warm and incredibly tasty. I also really appreciated the reasonable prices. Feel free to ignore the picture—while the lobster roll was even larger, I couldn’t wait, and it turned out to be fantastic.

Everything is great, prices are good and ice cream is nice. The lobster rolls are probably the fairest price I’ve ever seen. I’ve been going here my whole life. It’s incredibly tacky for a business to have ai art on the wall though. I hope the take it down, it only detracts from the atmosphere and it doesn’t even make sense.

Shains was so busy! The food is delicious. My son got the lobster roll. He said it was so delicious his eyes rolled back while he was eating it. The chicken and fries were great also. We also had delicious strawberry shakes. It was all very good. The hot dog man was wicked cool. My son said if you go to Maine you gotta go to Shains of Maine. Its worth your time!

We have been going here for years..there clams and prices were fantastic..Today,March 5th we went and got our favorite whole belly clams. We got 6 huge clams with HUGE BELLIES..Couldn’t eat any of the bellys. What happened..We are hopeng this isn’t going to be the normal..We love the place and told all our friends how wonderful the food is..Please bring back those sweet little clams…Thank You
